Digital Distribution platform GOG, headquartered in Poland, is now providing its employees with menstrual leave, a policy unheard of in the game industry, and even many countries.
Why it matters: It’s considered a controversial policy, one that some say respects the physical toll of menstruation but risks making employees who take advantage of the time off seem less capable.

I don't see what the big deal is. It's not exactly bleeding edge thinking to consider making this kind of leave an option.

I'm a fan of personal leave being up to the employer regardless of circumstances, but granting additional leave to one sex over another tends to lead to unfair or discriminatory practices.

I hope all the dudes there decide to identify as a woman every month. What's their employer gonna do, tell them they're not women like transphobic bigots? They're not biologists.

According to the article, most of the resistance to menstrual leave has come from women, not men.
