You gotta love it:

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer calls to suspend federal gas tax (https://www.wilx.com/2022/03/08/gov-gretchen-whitmer-calls-suspend-federal-gas-tax/)

Whitmer signals veto of bill to freeze state gasoline tax (https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/whitmer-signals-veto-of-bill-to-freeze-state-gasoline-tax/ar-AAUWOSg?cvid=3865a11cac05434ba6f1f45239da4192)

Yes that's the SAME alt-leftist governor of Michigan saying the federal government needs to temporarily drop the 18 cent per gallon federal gas tax, while at the same time indicating she might veto her own state's proposal to temporarily freeze the state's 27 cent per gallon gas tax.

And why? Because her state's legislature is majority Republican, can't give them a win!

And Democrats at the federal level are in deep shit at this year's elections, gotta helm them in any way we can!

Fuck these fuckers.

Pretty sure some shady shit happened in Michigan. It happens in pretty much every state-wide election in Michigan. The Republican candidate will be miles ahead of the Democrat candidate, then suddenly the Detroit area gets counted and the Democrat candidate has a comfortable lead and the race is pretty much over.

I know Detroit is a heavily blue district, but it's still very fishy how this seems to happen with every single state-wide election. It's odd how at the local level the Republicans have dominated for quite a while now, yet at the state-wide level the Democrats have dominated for a while now.

Saying something shady happened in Michigan is the same thing as saying something shady happened in Chicago or Louisiana or NY...

Of course something shady happened... something shady happens there every.single.day.

She doesn't care if the Federal Government loses tax dollars, but she damn sure wants hers.

Ah yes. Can't let go of the voting conspiracies. Lol. Zero evidence, but hey let me keep going on about it.

Lol. I'm sure you say the same shit about all of the Democrats and "news" articles who are already calling into question the 2022 and 2024 election results, oh but only if Republicans win!

You're so transparent it's not even funny anymore, my guy. Like why bother with three full sentences? You can just distill all of your political points to "Republicans bad! Democrats good!"

Yeah yeah, spare me a lame "NOU!" reply.

I will for sure. The entire report in our state is a huge waste of tax payer money.

Unlike you I don't blindly follow a certain party. Individual > party.

Daily reminder: I didn't vote for trump or Biden. Call it a throwaway vote all you want, but they were both stupid af

You're like the idiots changing their profile pics to the Ukranian Flag.... thinking you did your part to help.

Good job.

My funnest thing was someone bashing someone that was saying "prayers for Ukraine". I tried to draw a comparison to them having changed their FB profile pic as being pretty much the same thing. They got all huffy and said "I GAVE MONEY TO RED CROSS!!!" Well, you don't know if that person did or not too right? And don't even get me on the Red Cross, they don't allow you to donate for specific things, just a general donation. Anyways, when I said she was basically a pot calling a kettle black, she just said that was my opinion and left.

You can't even make this shit up.

Whitmer calls for freeze on 6% gasoline sales tax (https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/whitmer-calls-for-freeze-on-6-gasoline-sales-tax/ar-AAVfi42)

Whitmer: How DARE you want to freeze the 27.2 cents per gallon gas tax!!!!
Also Whitmer: Oh boy do I need a win! Hey how about we eliminate the 6% sales tax on gas?

Honestly I didn't even know states had both a sales tax AND a flat per gallon tax on gas. That's cray cray.

So in Michigan if you combine the state per gallon tax, the federal per gallon tax, AND 6% sales tax then that means if you gas is 4 dollars per gallon that almost 70 cents/17.5% of that is just tax.

Wait until they start taxing the electrical cars "mileage" taxes.

There aren't any blue states, only blue cities.

I'd just call it wasting your time leaving the house and standing in line just to vote for literally nothing.

The voting equivalent of thoughts & prayers.
