They don't have to dribble anymore. You can usually take like 10 steps without getting called for traveling.

Oh man.

I love watching Yiannis Atennokumpo nuts-to-the-face-when-dunking good shit. But the Euro Step = just no. No.

Agh, godammit, can't find this one clip where King James just, before he even crosses half-court, he scoops up the ball and just starts proceeding to walk to the 3-point line @ center-court. It's the most ridiculous thing ever. I feel, like, the refs are brainwashed that if you are Yiannis, or Lebron, or Stephen Curry -- That the rules somehow do not apply to them.

New York Knicks B-ball forever though.

Dumb fact:
In the fighting game Multiversus that game out a few months ago, which is basically Super Smash Bros. but with Warner Bros. characters...WB changed Velma's super move (she summons a police car, and if it catches the opponent, they're out for the round) from a cop car to the Mystery Machine in a recent patch, because some people decided that using that move vs. Lebron, who is also in the game as Space Jam LeBron, was racist.

And even though I'm a huge FSU fan.. I sorta agree. If FSU played Alabama.. not sure you would find many people believing that FSU would win.

The committee always wanted alabama in and they could not put those rednecks in without putting Texas in so FSU got locked out. It is way to reminiscent of the 2004 Auburn debacle. The rednecks get so many second chances it is sickening. I am not saying they are not a good team, because they are, but if you give a good team a second chance then they can find a way to capitalize on that. I hate to say it but they need to take the people out of the equation and let the computer pick. People have too much bias. I for one am not going to even bother watching the CFP. I will watch other bowls, just not those three games, fuck the CFP.

So Friday night I drove out to Waco TX (Baylor’s stadium) to watch my cousin’s kid (is that 2nd Cousin?) play in a high school football game. That might have been the best football game I ever saw. They were down by 4 with 1:52 on the clock and won the game with a TD. The team is the Decatur Eagles. It felt really weird cheering for the Eagles…

Anyways, if they win 1 more game they will play for the state championship in Jerry’s World. High school football in Texas is kinda a big deal.

Yep, it is called MONEY!!! The system is so fucking broken it makes me want to puke. Someone somewhere calculated that a Michigan-Alabama matchup would bring more eyeballs than an FSU-Michigan matchup, but I am not so certain about that. I live in the deep south and everyone that I have spoken to, that is not an Alabama fan, said they will not be watching the CFP, well maybe Texas-Washington since Texas is gonna kick the living dogshit out of Washington, which calls to mind another question; does anyone think that Washington would win a Georgia-Washington matchup? Because if the goal was to pick the best 4 teams, why is Washington in and not Georgia?

A winning record is supposed to mean something but clearly it does not. This is all about getting people to watch football but I really think there is a lot of Alabama fatigue, people are tired of seeing Alabama get mulligans and get in. And before the Alabama gomers pile on and say, 'but they win when they get a mulligan' sure, so let some other good teams have the mulligans and see how much they win too.

Anebriated

To me the biggest knock against FSU was the lack of top 20 teams faced. Yes they beat the 2 they played but if you keep out the teams that were 4-1 against top 20 and put in the team that was 2-0 then why should schools look to play anything but cupcake schedules? FSU and the ACC did themselves a disservice by having an easier schedule.

Saw a post today, calling for FSU to just be the bigger team and let the players go to South Beach and have a blast... let them get that extra practice in, accept all the bowl gifts, the player travel money and the per diem. Jog out of the tunnel on game day, warm up.. and then when the game is about to begin, don't play. Let ESPN get fucked over since they fucked over FSU.

I read something like that as well but if they did that then the school/conference would not get the bowl money. I was thinking about it a different way. I think the committee messed up when they paired FSU with Georgia. if FSU beats Georgia then they can say, 'see look, we beat Georgia too and are undefeated, we should have been in and are claiming a national Championship. Or of Georgia wins, they can point to Washington, especially if Texas trounces them, and say, see we should have been in over Washington. So none of this was done to get the best teams, it is all about eye candy and how the committee 'feels' about teams. It is all bullshit. Will the 12 team playoff help, sure, some. The SEC going to no divisions probably will as well since the two best teams will always play in the championship game. I think every conference should do that, instead of Iowa playing Michigan when everyone knows that the outcome will be. But what do I know, I am just some keyboard cowboy hoping to burn down the corrupt system.

I think they royally fucked up but they also have a massive SEC boner. Michigan, Texas, Washington and FSU, should have been the 4 in the CFP Travis isn’t good enough to be a Heisman finalist, but he’s good enough to keep his team out of the CFP?! It’s a massive discredit to the other players on the team, pretty much saying they don’t mean shit, only the QB is important.

A case can be made for each of those 6 teams to be in the final 4. I don't hear too much talk about Michigan and Washington being #1 and #2.. but there is plenty of talk about what place the other 4 teams should be in.

Find a stadium and have those 4 teams play.

Win and you are in.

Maybe if the ACC hadn't voted against the 12 team starting this year, their little team that could would be in there.

Do I think it is "fair" that FSU is left out? No, not anymore than Liberty University being left out. Do I think FSU "deserved" a spot in the top 4? Absolutely.

It isn't about fairness or deserving though. It is about the BEST 4 teams. I don't think FSU could beat any of the 4 teams in the CFP, especially not with the team they now have. I really think they should have been put below Georgia, at the 6 spot, but below the 4th spot doesn't matter a lot this year.

I'm willing to bet, however, if we had the 12 team now, FSU would have been kept at the 4th spot, because it would all just play itself out anyways.

I'd also say FSU has a chance to prove they belonged up there in the bowl game vs Georgia, but lets all be serious, how many seniors (from either team) are really going to play in there? If it isn't a championship, most of them are looking at other things.

Watching Adam Schefter yesterday talk about the Patriots not having to hire a head coach in 24 years and that all the rules have changed and how the NFL has slowed down the process to ensure owners need to interview a number of potential coaches with different diversities...

And today they promoted Jerod Mayo to Head Coach.

I wonder how many owners will put into coach's contracts that they will be promoted to Head Coach when the current Head Coach leaves to avoid the NFL DEI hiring practices? Good thing Mayo is a minority or Kraft would have been run through the wringer today.
