And Ohio State is out of the Playoffs.

What a good game that was.
Unless you are rooting for Ohio State.

What will be funny to me, Michigan losing the Big10 Championship and then there being 0 Big10 teams in the CFP.

Damn, Auburn's defense is looking immaculate. Alabama might be in trouble.

Alabama loses here and then wins against Georgia... Alabama is still out... Georgia is probably still in though, at #4.

No, I hate Auburn and every Auburn fan I've ever known gargles testicals. It is fun to see a changeup in the CFP though... And Bama won't be there if this continues. They are getting rekt by Auburn's defense.

I have a friend who suited up as an Auburn player for a year but never took the field.. and all he does is talk about how great "his" football team is... so I tend to secretly root against them.
He's married with 2 kids... but he's very good at interior decorating.. and can't fix anything.. so he might secretly do that gargling you were referring to.

Auburn tried their hearts out. Their QB was so hobbled, but he tried. Great game, tough loss. Was hoping Alabama would have gotten their ass kicked personally.

I was at the game. Yeah .. this one hurt. I didn't think we had a chance going into the game with our starting qb and our all sec kicker both out. We had our chance but couldn't run out the clock. I knew going into overtime we were not going to win. God I hate bammers. Some bammer girl was next to me all game with a "go to hell auburn" sticker on and she left early when they were losing. No class fanbase. I hope UGA curbstomps them. War Eagle!

Brian Kelly said fuck Norte Dame and went to LSU to be HC. He didn’t even tell any of his assistant coaches. They found out from the news.

What will be funny to me, Michigan losing the Big10 Championship and then there being 0 Big10 teams in the CFP.
Basically Michigan has to beat Iowa's defense.

That Iron Bowl tore my guts out. Oh well, hopefully with Bobo gone we can call a decent offensive game next year. War Damn Eagle!

Yea.. that whole thing seemed fucked up. I don't blame Kelly for jumping ship... 95 million dollars is a shit-ton of money to say no to.
But a late night text is how he addressed the team? I'm sure he told Notre Dame first and maybe that was their idea to just get him the fuck out asap.. but it was just so awkward.
Notre Dame will go back to being irrelevant to everyone but CBS again.

He has a better chance of winning a NC at LSU. Saban, Miles, Ogeron all won one. The talent in that state is huge.

No, he had an assistant coach out at someone's house recruiting. He walked out and then found out from the news. He said he felt like an asshole. He didn't tell anybody.

He has a better chance of winning a NC at LSU. Saban, Miles, Ogeron all won one. The talent in that state is huge.
The academic standards are lower for LSU, so it is a lot easier to create a great roster. ND's roster has always been 2nd tier, which really goes to show his skill as a coach little more. Or he might just fail terribly.

Eh, that is good too, but I think the main draw is that he has a chance to win National Championships with LSU.
Kinda harder with ND, due to no Conference Championship to play in, not being in a conference, and again, it is harder to build a top tier team.

No question this is about him winning a NC. It would be all but impossible to do so at ND, but it is clearly possible at LSU. Ever since LSU and Orgeron parted ways I have had trepidations about the hire, especially when other schools were locking up coaches, but I am actually pretty excited about Brian Kelly. He runs a good program and with the ability to get better talent since the academics are not so strict, he could be very successful.
Between Kelly coming to LSU, Kirby Smart at GA, Florida's hire of Billy Napier (even though I think firing Mullen was a bad idea), Lane Kiffin at Ole Miss, Jimbo at A&M, a somewhat resurgent TN, and Bryan Harsin at Auburn clearly intends to be relevant again, the SEC is getting a lot tougher. Add in the restructure when Texas and OK come in and Nick Satan might decide it is time to retire. Having to play Auburn, GA and FL every year and possibly an at large opponent from the western division, means he will not be the bully on the block and if there is one thing that is clear about Nick, he hates not being the bully on the block.

Saban is probably looking towards retirement soon. He has nothing left to prove.... NCAA wise that it. The Alabama this year isn't really the powerhouse it has been in the past. Who knows, being completely shut out of the CFP might either push him towards retirement or light a fire in his ass to go for another title.
Looks like ND might be trying to poach Luke Fickell from Cincinnati.

You're going off loses, but they had a weak schedule. ND has a way stronger schedule than Cincinnati, so did Oregon, and Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State, and a lot of other schools. I think they need to start divorcing record from CFP eligibility. (I still wouldn't put in ND because their HC is gone already and honestly, they need to join a fucking conference.)
Which will become better when they expand to 8 team. Anyone that thinks Cincinnati has a snowball's chance in hell against any team in the top 10 is deluding themselves.
I look forward to the game though. I don't know if Alabama will give them the proper asswhooping they deserve simply because Bama has been playing down to teams this year for some fucking reason. Still, Cincinnati got a big head because they barely lost to the third string Georgia team last year in a game that no one cared about.

They don't own the planet, just NCAA football. Decades of games W/L records vs Non-Power 5 show this.
G5(which cincinnati is in) record vs P5 is 686-2450-20. That is counting in the shitty P5 teams too, like Vandy and Iowa and Indiana and stuff.
And of course, the SEC is the best conference out of all, with a winning record against every Conference it has ever played.

Baylor lost to TCU... and TCU was terrible this year.

I'm doing it based on best matchups. Cinncinati is going to get blown out, and every other team in the top 10 could destroy them. Again, you're looking too much at their record. ULL only had 1 loss and won their conference, they would be a better match to Cincinnati.

From the very start, the CFP committee says they are more concerned with Strength of Schedule and strong teams and they were going to place less emphasis record. Sometimes conferences are fucking tough and self defeating. Sometimes a team has a slip up at the beginning of the season.
This is why I want it expanded to a 8 team, eventually to a 24 team.
And no, cincinnati is going to be annihilated. It isn't even going to be an interesting game. Cincinnati should be ranked in the teens at best.

Pats out smarted the bills, honestly have no idea why the bills didn't pout another defensive lineman in there for many of those plays. It was obvious very early the Pats weren't going to try to do anything but run, hell if it wasn't for the incredibly bad luck on the punt that barely touch the facemask where would the Bills be? Also going for 2 on that early TD forced the bills to keep trying for a TD instead of a tying field goal, horrid TV but brilliant chess match.

Well, they started the year 1-7. Plus they're reporting he really didn't get along with other players and personnel. Yes a coaching position would be appropriate for Brady, except the Devil will most certainly use all of his earthly powers to accelerate his mortality. Within a year of his retirement he will be caught on camera in somebody’s trailer sucking dick in exchange for a small amount of meth. All of his spectacular achievements in football shall be stripped due to exposed cheating tactics like deflating balls. He will die in agonizing humiliating pain; alone, broke, & penniless. Only then will Brady’s soul begin it’s sentence of eternal damnation. Such greatness comes at a terrible cost.
So I think he will play at least another year.

That games was good, but I'd like a change to OT rules. Each team should get a chance at the ball, you know Josh Allen would have gotten a TD too. Basically a coin toss won that.

I don't see it.
He wants to go out with fanfare and parades and such... getting beaten in the playoffs is not how it'll go down.
He will play next year and basically say it's his last year.. so in every stadium he can get a standing ovation as being the GOAT.
If the team is great and makes the playoffs.. great.. if not, at least he got a proper sendoff.

Maybe, maybe not. He has been non-committal. All he has said is that he feels like he could play at a high level into his 50s, but he isn't... So last season or the next 5 seasons... One of those is his last.

Wonder if he didn't put a couple hits out on the Def Coordinator for some bad play calls, and maybe the cornerback that just fucked up twice and let Cooper Kupp get behind him. WHHYYYYY?!?!?

To put Brady's success in context, he has more playoff wins than any franchise except the Patriots (with whom he shares most of their 37 wins), the Packers (36) and the Steelers (36). He has the same number of wins as the Cowboys (35) and has two more than the 49ers (33).

Since their last appearance in a Superbowl (against the Bucs... I won so.much.money. that day..) in 2002, they have had:
* 14 losing seasons. And I'm not talking about just a 7-9 record... there are some real stinkers in there.
* 110-195 record
* 12 seasons of double digit losses.
* 4 seasons where they hit .500

Bucs fan here, no not a bandwagoner, I don't live far from the stadium. Never was a big fan of Brady, mostly because he was affiliated with the Patriots and I have been anti-Patriot for quite some time. Not sure why maybe because they had a dynasty and I am not a fan of teams staying on top too long, like having new teams in the playoffs/superbowl, always vote for the underdog if my team isn't in it. Anyways, Brady came to the Bucs so I was forced to support him. He should have retired after he won that last superbowl. Very few quarterbacks have ever retired while on top, Elway was the last one I can think of, won 2 superbowls and retired.
As for the comment above... I do think Manning is the best QB of all time. You have to look beyond just superbowl rings. Not every QB is blessed with a great team to work with. Example... Barry Sanders.. best RB of all times and 0 rings. I do think brady has done great things, and is one of the best, but I'd take Marino, Aikman, or Manning in their primes over Brady if building a team.

Brady is still on top. His last ten year stats are basically the same as the 10 years prior.
And sure, you can say "look beyond Superbowl rings" but nah, Brady is the GOAT. He has more than anyone and did it on two different teams. Love Manning, all three of them, but Brady has just been a dominant force in Football for the last 20 years. I don't think you can really apply that the same to any other QB.

Brady's new thing each year should be going to the worst team from the previous season to see how far he can get. Like replaying a game on ultra hard mode.

Manning was the last QB to win the Superbowl and then retire... ironically, for the same team John Elway did it.
There isn't any quantifiable stat that supports your claim that Manning is the best QB of all time... while there are plenty for Brady.
Brady's biggest knock against being the GOAT was that he was playing under a system and coach that did it for him. That was put to rest when Brady won the superbowl as a Buccaneer.
Also, why do you believe that Brady wasn't on top last year?
Here were his stats last year:
#1 in Pass Attempts
#1 in Pass Completions
#1 in Passing Yards
#1 in TD Passes
With the exception of maybe Aaron Rodgers, there isn't a QB that wouldn't want the stat year he had.
He was certainly at the top of his game and he was 1 throw away from beating the LA Rams.

I forgot about Manning winning and retiring lol, guess I was thinking too far back. As far as stats go, I won't argue with your numbers, numbers don't lie, but they don't tell the whole story either. They don't tell you that any decent QB could have had the stats Brady did with the Bucs last year. I'd agree with what Methais said, if Brady truly wanted to show the world he was a GOAT he would have joined a team that sucked.
Another thing to think about is... would Brady have had those stats if he had to play with a fully inflated ball his entire career?

Look, Superbowls matter. Do you think anyone loves a team that makes it to the playoffs every year and loses? Hey! We had great players! They just can't seal the deal! No, if your team isn't winning championships, your team isn't good enough.
No. Winning Superbowls matters. Brady's stats are fucking amazing regardless, but 7 Superbowls is just unheard of. You can argue whatever you want, but he closes. That is the biggest thing for any player really.

I did not say he had the best statistics of all times. if you want to see good stats, you'd plug manning in for brady during all the opportunities brady had. but its ok to think he's a goat if you like him and believe that. I just believe otherwise. Manning 1st and Marino a close second. I think Bird is more of a goat than Jordan too :)

Problem with playing the hypothetical game is that there's no way to actually prove one way or the other. I'm only dealing with facts.
Fact: Brady had one of his most successful seasons (even garnering MVP votes for the league) in 2021.
He was certainly at the top of the game.
Another thing to think about is... would Brady have had those stats if he had to play with a fully inflated ball his entire career?
Wasn't that already disproven? I thought I read a story about that being much to do about absolutely nothing.
But let's say you bought into it... that happened in 2014? 2015? So you know the balls have been checked/double checked and triple checked after that... and Brady only has won 4 superbowls since then?
Seems like deflategate was much to do about nothing.

Bernie Kosar in the top 10. Holy hell.. is he really even in the top 50?

My top 10.. but not in a specific order (except the GOAT)
TOM BRADY
Peyton Manning
Dan Marino
Joe Montana
Drew Brees
John Elway
Aaron Rodgers
Brett Favre
Roger Staubach
Johnny Unitas
I'm just including the ones I watched on tv at some point in time. I barely remember Unitas, but I remember watching him with my dad and him telling me he was the greatest QB to ever play the game.
Who on that list does Bernie Kosar deserve to be ahead of? And these are just the QB's in MY list... I'm sure there are old QBs that I've never watched that were amazing in their day... that literally reinvented the QB position.

I am not disputing the stats that brady has at all. and if everyone here, and the world, want to use stats to be the determining factor to be the goat, so be it. Aikman had more than Staubach in:
Super Bowl wins
game wins
TD passes
passing yards
I acknowledge football was a different game between those two generations, but I think Aikmam was a better more complete QB. People dismiss Aikman because as noted his injuries cut his career short and the team (and Aikman) went into rapid decline in the late 90s…but Aikman had a golden arm and leadership qualities to keep a team of drugged up primadonnas focused.
And last to say as a Cowboys fan I appreciate both, so I don’t intend to take away from Staubach. I just feel Aikman doesn’t get the credit he deserves as a football player.

Aikman has 1 Superbowl more, 12 more TDs, but like 40 more INTs. Staubach spent 4 of his prime football years in the Navy and Vietnam. Staubach has a way better passer rating too.
I think Staubach could have been great in Aikman's era, but I don't think Aikman could have been as good in Staubach's. I mean, we're really only talking about a 20 year difference here but it makes a big difference in the way plays are called and the kinds of defenses and offenses you see out there.

I don't see Namath there at all...
Aikman is not top 10 material at all.. and it's not really his fault. Cowboys were a run first team.. if you look at his production in the 3rd and 4th quarter of games... he was virtually non-existent because all they did was hand the ball to Smith and watch him pound away.
Kurt Warner is a great story and all.. but he only had 2 great years really... and many more stinkers. He had way too many injuries and after 3-4 years (I don't remember exactly.. maybe 5?) with St. Louis.. he became a journeyman QB. 2 years of great football doesn't make you a top 10 of greatest of all time. I actually had a funny experience where michael jordan was involved....
This was in the early to mid 90s, after jordan retired from basketball. he was in the town of sarasota, the town I was living in at the time, playing baseball with the chicago white sox. Well every monday night me and my friends would go to this sports bar called the sarasota clubhouse bar and grill and watch monday night football. It was a popular place and was always jam packed with people for monday night football. So anyways me and my friends were sitting in a booth watching the game and in comes this entourage of people. there must have been about 30+ large black men (some of them were huge, must have been body guards) that came in through the front door. the owner of the bar came out and greeted them all and then I saw mj was with them. they put about 8 tables together, near where I was sitting, for them all to sit at. after some time went buy I told my friends I wanted to buy mj a shot. so I called for our waitress, told her I would like to send a shot of jager to mj over there. I told her when she gives him the shot to point over at me lol. anyways she delivered the shot, she pointed at me, he glanced at me for a couple seconds, then looked away. he then slid the shot to someone at their table to drink.
the only other experience I had with a pro sports player was ralph sampson. this was when 13 yo I think and i was visiting relatives in michigan my dad took me to see an nba game. the pistons were playing the rockets. back when they had the twin towers (sampson and olajuwon). we had good seats, very near the rockets players. I leaned over the rail and asked sampson for an autograph. he denied me!
anyone had any experiences with prop sports players?
