My prediction with approx 82% confidence is conviction for all. Unsure about the felony murder with the 3rd guy, but only because apparently there is some Georgia case law that the lawyer cited that says felony false imprisonment didn't count for felony murder, but we'll see how that shakes out.

It seems pretty cut and dry to me. Lawyers can be wiley though. Hopefully the prosecutor crossed all her ts and dotted all her is.

I dunno, imprisonment seems pricey. We could just spare the cost and shoot em.

Execution costs more than life imprisonment.

Execution costs more than life imprisonment.

I beg to differ.

While the US Federal government may be able to produce figures to support your argument. (We all know they're famous for stuff like $20,000 toilet costs) I'd rebut them with the cost of a single bullet and a 4 - 8 hours minimum wage labor to dig a six foot deep hole.

Apparently the witness guy who filmed it just asked for a plea deal. The prosecutor said no. Lol oops, maybe do that before the trial. Who is advising this guy??? Or maybe he was listening to the news and not his actual counsel?

He gave the police the video thinking it would exonerate them all in it too. He isn't exactly a smart guy. I guess original the locals weren't prosecuting it.

Listening to the arguments, I am 100% certain that the dad and son are guilty on all counts. The whole citizens arrest and background they offered is all red herring stuff with the bottom line is that they had no information to "arrest" the victim. Generally even flight by itself is not evidence of a crime. The crime also has to be a felony. Maybe it's sentencing mitigation.

The Bryan guy, I am not clear what they have on him. I haven't been able to find the evidence that would support a false imprisonment (did he try to trap with his truck?) I am not convinced following them all around supports a guilty finding So I think 50/50 he is acquitted.

Thoughts?

Not sure how you get false imprisonment other than trying to stack on charges since you can walk around a truck. They are likely guilty. Also, Arbury was a fucking dumbass and got himself killed by attacking the guys with guns. This isn't the matrix, he isn't John Wick, that's just fucking stupid. Had he not attacked them, and he clearly did, he would likely still be alive, they would be in jail for a lot of shit and he would likely sue the fuck out of them. Not defending these guys, just saying the dumbass got himself killed needlessly.

Also, all the fuckwits saying shit about other people walked through the construction site you can go fuck yourselves, trespassing is trespassing.

Generally trespassing requires posting (no trespassing signs) or a verbal notice ("leave or I'm calling the cops"). I see the GA law has an additional category which is if you enter somewhere to commit a crime. I didn't think there was any indication Arbery did any of that.

The fact that other people walked around there is another red herring.

Also I just heard the prosecutor argue that Bryan veered his car at Arbery 3x. I think I'm up to 75% he is found guilty now

Yeah no. They shouldn't have fucked with him period. He'd be alive if they hadn't gone after him with a shotgun.

And yes, trespassing requires notice of trespassing in pretty much every state... And it wasn't even their property in the first place.

The false imprisonment, much like OJ's kidnap charge is because someone that isn't a law enforcement officer or acting in that capacity can't demand you stay where you are etc. It's a stretch of an argument but holding someone at gunpoint can be considered imprisonment, also blaming the victim for getting scared because some yokels with guns are after him is a little ridiculous.

Wouldn't that swerving be assault not kidnapping or false imprisonment?

Perhaps, perhaps not. He can't control them, he could control himself and he compounded their dumbass decision with his dumbass decision and it cost him his life. He had lots of ways to get out of that without trying to go hand to hand with shitbags with guns.

Dumbass interpretation in my opinion. Private property should have a reasonable expectation of privacy regardless of posting.

I blame him for making bad decisions that got him killed. That isn't ridiculous, what's ridiculous is to absolve him of any responsibility in his death because "Duh, racists rednecks". Just like it was ridiculous to absolve Floyd for his dumbass actions in getting high as fuck, fighting police and dying from a drug overdose.

All three found guilty on felony murder and all but 4 other counts between two of the defendants, one getting 9/9, another 8/9, the last 6/9(nice). Max sentence possible is, apparently, life without parole.

Federal hate crimes charges coming in February.

Racists before the trial: It's a tragedy and a sign of this racist justice system that the jury is nearly all white!!!
Racists after the trial: Even a nearly all white jury could see that black lives DO matter!

Do these racists ever get tired of being racists? Probably not considering how many racists support this dumb shit.

Maybe the jury made the right decision regardless of the color of their skin and it should never have been a factor to begin with? Just a thought.

Then you have people like Rocktard who wonder why a guy fought back against people trying to hold him at gunpoint and trying to downplay everything like it was some how the victim's fault he's dead. He promises he's not trying to blame the victim, while in the same breath blaming the victim.

I'm going to say that what professional racists such as Al Sharpton says on the national stage is a gajillion times worse than what anyone on the PC can possibly say.

Rocktar having an opinion on the PC isn't going to do anything. Al Sharpton's racists words could have real life consequences.

Fuck off retard. The shitbag that got shot made lots of bad choices and could have lived. The shitbags that shot him could have managed to not shoot him easily enough. And you, being a shitbag could easily have understood English if you hadn't spent all of English class high with a finger buried in the base of your brain digging for gold.

You moronic fucks that think Arbury was some saint or couldn't have done a lot of things to still be alive are just that, moronic fucks.

Keep in mind, at no point did I say he deserved to die. Just that him attacking the guys hand to hand was fucking dumb as fuck and you know it.

No one said he was a Saint, just that the person that shot him shouldn't have chased after him in a truck, veered infront of him, and jumped out at him with a shot gun.

Also, lol you're triggered

Life for everyone

They guy that actually pulled the trigger is eligible for parole in 30 years. Everyone else has no parole, but will probably be dead by then anyways.

Doesn't really make sense.

Now to get a conviction on the original prosecutor that tried to sweep it under the rug.
