Help me compile a list of the times people willingly got played because their hatred of Trump overwhelmed their sense of reason. I'll update this first post with all the answers.

1) Original claim: It is 100% without a doubt impossible for the Wuhan flu to have escaped from a lab in Wuhan, China.
Now: It is entirely possible the Wuhan flu escaped from a lab in Wuhan China.

2) Original claim: Russia was offering bounties for US soldiers, Trump knew about it but did nothing since he was Putin's puppet.
Now: Even the Biden administration said the claim was bullshit.

3) Original claim: Trump was keeping kids in cages! Here is photographic proof!
Now (well almost immediately afterwards): The photos were actually when Obama and Biden were shoving kids in cages as fast as they could.

4) Original claim: It was a violent insurrection! A cop was murdered by someone throwing a extinguisher at his head!
Now: The cop had no signs of blunt force trauma to the head and likely died of natural causes, almost each and every single crime people were charged with basically amounted to trespassing or being in a restricted area, and a few people were charged with assault.

5) Original claim: OMG! Russia and Trump conspired to steal the 2016 election!!!1

7) Original claim: Don't trust the vaccine! The CDC can't be trusted under Trump!
Now: Trust the vaccine! If you don't trust the vaccine you're a conspiracy theorist and a racist and want to kill people!!11

8)Original claim: OMG! Trump hates brown immigrants! Biden is going to welcome everyone who wants to come to America!

As we have learned you can catch the virus and pass it on to others if you are vaccinated.

A negative COVID test doesn't necessarily mean anything. It could have been a false negative, the person could have caught the virus between their negative test UP TO THREE DAYS PRIOR and when they showed up for the event.

All of this of course also requires the people screening everyone to actually be doing their job correctly and aren't just a bunch of teenage idiots who are doing a side job for a quick buck and don't take it seriously.

I've already said both events were stupid, all I've been saying is the two events aren't the same.

Methais also mentioned something I didn't even think of: who is to say people actually kept their masks on once inside? They put their masks on for the guard, go into the crowd, then remove their mask and everyone will just think they are vaccinated.

Okay so let's look at all of the possible failures here:

1) We know a vaccinated person can both become infected and infect others
2) Masks are nearly useless when there are this many people standing shoulder to shoulder and singing and shouting
3) A person can receive a false negative test result
4) A person can easily test negative then become infected and infect others
5) Someone can easily remove their mask and blend in with the vaccinated and unmasked crowd
6) There could have been idiots screening people and not doing their job properly, there were over 400k people attending after all, it's pretty much a sure bet that at least some people got in without being properly screened

Even with all of these very real facts you still choose to claim it was safe to hold this 400k+ people event but other events need to be canceled.

And you wonder why Republicans have been calling Democrats' reaction to the virus political.

You're probably the type of person who actually followed those arrows on the ground at stores which said "Shop this way only!" and thought to yourself "Wow I'm such a good person! Look at me saving lives!"

And to reiterate one more time for the slow people such as Alfster: I think everything should have opened up months ago, and I don't begrudge people going to Lollapalooza and I even think Obama should have been able to host the biggest party he wanted and everyone should have minded their own business.

It's the fact that even people like Obama have been telling us to stop doing activities we enjoy "for the better good" meanwhile he thinks he's above us mere peons and can do what he wants.
