Well this can't be true. Putin wouldn't order US subs to attack a Russian sub.

The source on it being a US Submarine attacking the Russian one is very, very shaky. A Russian nuclear sub in or near Alaskan waters did have a major fire that caused the deaths of 14 sailors though.

It is more likely it caught on fire by itself. The Russian Navy is complete shit.

Yes. That 40 year period after WW2 where there was the largest military buildup in recorded history between two superpowers was all made up by the press because it was a slow news century. :P

One superpower might have just had an underwater engine fire. You sure they know how to maintain things?

Duh. That's why it was underwater. Water puts fire out, so the further underwater you are, the faster it gets to the fire when the hull breaches. Edit: Plus in Armageddon, it was the Russian guy, not the Americans, who knew how to fix the equipment and save earth. With a bigass wrench and a can-do attitude.

Their only carrier is still unseaworthy. It was defeated in battle by the only dock and crane that could repair it.

The Soviet Navy of the 70's and 80's was pretty sturdy, but the Russian Navy has been an object of neglect since it came into existence in 1991. Hell, their Naval aviators on average only get about 24 hours of flying time a year.

I was a promising ensign on a submarine once, but I had an unfortunate incident in Murmansk wherein I accidentally brushed our sub up against a Soviet sub. During a low point, I had my penis tattooed with "Welcome aboard". After that I was given command of a relic diesel sub, with a crew of problem submariners and set up to fail in a naval exercise. I would tell you the whole story, but it would probably take about an hour and a half.

You should make a movie about that. :)

I hope they get Kelsey Grammer to star in it. He would be perfect.

Trump sucks so bad at Russian collusion. He's the worst Russian colluder ever.
