Who would have thought the guy who told our intelligence agencies to not share information with Kushner is now asking charges be brought against him? It boggles the mind!

The form that he fucked up on carries some fairly stiff penalties for lying or omitting things. I don't like that he is clearly going after it for political reasons, but an average Joe who filled it out incorrectly would end up in prison.

Allegedly Ivanka is in the same boat.

The guy in charge of background checks said he had never seen mistakes and omissions at the level he saw on Kushner's forms (https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/12/politics/jared-kushner-background-check-form/index.html).

At this point, the only reasons *not* to charge him would be political.

Wait so he has seen "mistakes and omissions" on this form before? Were all of those people charged with a crime? Or is it only when it reaches "this level" that we charged people with a crime?

Unless all of those people were also charged with a crime it sure as shit sounds like going after Kushner IS political.

I've never heard of anyone charged with a crime for lying or making mistakes on that shit either. They usually just get denied on their clearance.

And honestly, unless they can prove he is lying, they can't charge him. They could hit him if he knowingly omitted or concealed a fact though, but again, I've never heard of that happening.

It really just seems 100% political to me.

From everything I can see, it is usually a charge added on to other charges. They aren't going after someone JUST for lying on an SF86. It typically isn't worth the time, effort, or money. They just refuse the clearance.

Jared Kushner has a security clearance because the President wanted him to have one. Security clearances and classifications derive from the executive branch. He could declassify every fucking document that exists (other than census records) and it'd be 100% legal. Again, this is purely political. Quite frankly, I'm surprised he even did an SF-86.

First- I want to commend you on understanding what happens with the thousands of instances of this form being filled out every year based on 50 or 60 cases that happened in your own personal life. Also on you apparently having 50 or 60 extremely close friends, all of whom would definitely let you know about their legal troubles.

Hey guess what- I've seen thousands of people drive through traffic lights, and I've never seen anyone pulled over from one. I guess it never happens, and, if it does happen, it's for purely political reasons.

Kushner failed to disclose his meeting with a representative of the Russian government offering illegal campaign aid. And that was AFTER he amended the form- originally it didn't list any foreign contacts. Then it listed 100. And this was STILL missing. WHY do you think these laws are on the books? Seriously- have you stopped for a second to ask yourself that question? You really think it's okay to set the example that it's totally cool to leave out meetings with foreign enemies who are offering to meddle in our elections? Can you say yes to that with a straight face?

The person in charge of these says that his errors were the worst he had ever seen, and the only explanation you can come to is that the head of these background checks in a Republican administration is clearly resorting to political bias if he refers the most extreme case of errors he has ever seen- filled out by another member of the same Republican administration- for prosecution?

Seriously- did this argument actually seem like a good one to you? Because if so....you really shouldn't be calling other people stupid. Like ever.

Offering illegal campaign aid?

Has this been been confirmed? Last I knew this has yet to be proven, of course I have been paying little attention to it as I have no reason to care. The improved economy alone has proven that Trump was the best candidate in 2016.

Yeah this was established like a year and a half ago. It's illegal to accept or solicit anything of value for your campaign from a foreign government. The Trump Tower meeting in which they were offered aid by the Russian government in the form of hacked Clinton emails, in return for lessening sanctions- remember that? The email about the meeting clearly offered campaign help from the Russian government, and they took the meeting instead of, you know, informing the FBI.

The act of accepting that meeting was a violation of one of the most important Federal campaign laws- regardless of whether or not they got aid afterwards (spoiler alert- they clearly did).

Also, it's really great that you think it's okay to sell our elections out to foreign governments in exchange for a strong economy. Sorry, not great- I meant to type "disgusting".

But, as usual, you are demonstrating a breathtaking lack of understanding of the world around you. First, we were on an Obama budget until September of 2017. So all of that growth you suddenly started touting in 2017? Yeah that had nothing to do with Trump. Now let's look at the economy over the last few years:

The unemployment rate?
It's been on a continuous upward climb since 2010. Here's how many jobs were created over the last few years:

2018: 2.6m <--- First year of full Trump-era budget
2017: 2.2m <---last year of Obama-era budget
2016: 2.24m
2015: 2.7m
2014: 3m

So we're clear- 2018 was nothing more than a continuation of am 8 year trend that started under Obama.

Stock Market Growth?

The stock market has been on an overall upward climb since 2009. Trump didn't do anything that magically made it increase. Beyond that, market performance in Trump's first two years in office have underperformed relative to Obama's first two years. (https://twitter.com/crampell/status/1074832540677091328)

Of course, Presidents generally have very little impact on the market. Obama is one exception- because of the heavy bailouts/government investment in the economy that helped get things back up and running again. Trump is actually another exception -with his constant threat of stoking international trade wars.

So it's probably not surprising that Dec of 2018 (the end of the first full year on a Trump budget) was the worst closing month for Dow since the Great Depression, and that 2018 was the worst performing year since the financial crisis. (https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/stock-market-news-on-track-worst-december-since-great-depression-2018-12-1027837251)

GDP is the one metric that Trump doesn't come out looking terrible on in the economy, but even that has more or less been in range of the GDP growth we've had over the last 6 or so years. (https://www.statista.com/statistics/188165/annual-gdp-growth-of-the-united-states-since-1990/)

Like ever.

I mean, I posted a link from a guy that did thousands and he said it is also very, very rare, but go ahead and continue to be retarded. My knowledge on the issue is 10000x more than yours.

And the blotter covered the entire Marine Corps. That is every, single person charged. Not just guys I helped out. Never saw one for fraudulent information on an SF-86 and I read that fucker every morning. Because I had a boring job at the G3. Unlike you, I'm not creating my work experiences with shit out of thin air. Now, I'm not claiming I was a security manager or some shit, but yeah. Blotter.

Hey, guys! A whole TWO people have been indicted for this before! A WHOLE 2!

Yeah, you're just about the most retarded person to ever live if you think this proves it isn't political to go after Kushner for this.

Weird, you criticized Hillary for being negligent with classified information but the moment a Republican does the same or worse you scream witch hunt. When are you going to start holding your party accountable instead of pretending they can do no wrong?

You're comparing being accused of lying or omitting information on some form to be the same or worse as storing classified information on your bathroom server? Your comment is especially dumb because Hillary was never indicted, just like literally everyone on the PC BUT you said would happen.

Yes, I'm comparing the Secretary of State having a private server in her house to a senior White House advisor who was denied a security clearance because the CIA/FBI considered him a huge risk, and yet was granted a TS clearance just because he's the President's son in law. That's not even including the chatter that he handed over classified information to MBS. But once again all you have is deflections and ad hominem attacks. Predictable as always Tgo. Sad.

Does it bother you that so many of your opinions absolutely rely on you being abjectly ignorant of reality?

Oh honey....

In the field of psychology (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psychology), the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognitive_bias) in which people of low ability have illusory superiority (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusory_superiority) and mistakenly assess their cognitive ability (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cognition) as greater than it is. The cognitive bias of illusory superiority comes from the inability of low-ability people to recognize their lack of ability. Without the self-awareness (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-awareness) of metacognition (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metacognition), low-ability people cannot objectively evaluate their competence or incompetence

ROFL

And just so we're clear..

"2018 was nothing more than a continuation of am 8 year trend that started under Obama." and "2018 was the worst performing year since the financial crisis." leads me to believe that you blame Obama for the worst performing year since the financial crisis?

I don't agree. Obama left office in January 2017.. let him just stay there.

Officials and staffers in the U.S. embassy in Riyadh said they were not read in on the details of Jared Kushner’s trip to Saudi Arabia or the meetings he held with members of the country’s royal court last week, according to three sources with knowledge of the trip. And that’s causing concern not only in the embassy but also among members of Congress.

On his trip to the Middle East, Kushner stopped in Riyadh. While there, he met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and King Salman to discuss U.S.-Saudi cooperation, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and economic investment in the region, according to the White House.

But no one from the embassy in Riyadh was in the meetings, according to those same sources. The State Department did have a senior official in attendance, but he was not part of the State Department team in Saudi. He is a senior member of the department focused on Iran, according to a source with direct knowledge of the official’s presence in Riyadh.

Just like with Trump meeting with Putin alone this is not acceptable, especially considering the recent developments of the Trump administration trying to bypass regulations to give Saudi Arabia highly sensitive nuclear technology.
