I am curious what people think he did to obstruct justice, fire Comey? Comey works for him and serves at his pleasure, think about the can of worms that would open if a chief executive cannot fire someone that serves at the pleasure. People would be stuck with whoever got appointed previously, irregardless of who appointed them. On the flip side for you more liberal of mindset, think if Trump appoints Trey Gowdy AG and the next democrat elected could not replace him.

That's one of the reasons. Yes, the FBI director serves at the pleasure of the POTUS and can be fired at any time. Why did he fire Comey though? Because he asked the then FBI director to drop things with Flynn, even though he knew Flynn was under a criminal investigation. That is obstruction. Asking Sessions not to recuse himself was obstruction. Trying to fire Mueller was obstruction. Telling Sessions to end special counsel investigation was obstruction.
I've long said that firing Comey was about the worst things Trump could have done and that his tweets were going to do him in.

How is it obstruction of justice, when every single person you just cited works for him and he can fire them without cause, whenever he wants? And Sessions should never have recused himself and Rosenstein should recuse himself. The DOJ has some very serious issues that need to be addressed or what little faith in the system that remains will be lost, forever.

Firing Comey to try and end the FBI investigation is obstruction of justice. SCOTUS has ruled that the president is not above the law. Now unless you have something to suggest that all these former FBI officials, attorney generals, prosecutors, and lawyers are wrong about Trump's obstructions I'd be happy to hear you out.

Now we just need to prove that Trump fired Comey to end the FBI investigation, because as we all know the FBI is run by 2 dudes in a garage so if one of them gets fired the other guy can't possibly keep up with all of the investigations.

Atty. Gen. Jeff Sessions insists his recusal from any investigation into Russian collusion in last year’s election was simple: It’s the law.
In an opening statement before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, Sessions cited a Department of Justice regulation that he said mandated him stepping aside.
The regulation, 28 CFR 45.2, notes that a Justice Department employee shall not participate in a “criminal investigation or prosecution if he has a personal or political relationship with … an elected official, a candidate (whether or not successful) for elective, public office, a political party, or a campaign organization.”
“I recused myself not because of any asserted wrongdoing on my part during the campaign,” Sessions said. “But because a Department of Justice regulation, 28 CFR 45.2, required it.”
“That regulation states, in effect, that department employees should not participate in investigations of a campaign if they have served as a campaign advisor,” said Sessions.
Throughout much of the 2016 election, Sessions served as a senior advisor to Trump’s campaign.
It's no mystery why Sessions recused himself. He told you himself why he did it. Trump encouraging him to un-recuse, threatening to fire him over it and even now telling him he should kill the investigation from which he's recused is all adding up to obstruction.

Clearly you are not concerned about the law, only optics. if we are going to investigate people and handling of elections then why wasn't Obama investigated for inserting the US into the Israeli elections? You are worried about appearance, I am worried about the law. No law was broken, so Sesssions should have never recused himself and if he had not, so special prosecutor would have ever been appointed. As for Rosenstein, he looks good on paper, but clearly his loyalty is only to preserving the status quo, hence the reason he is obstructing justice by not providing documentation to Congress which has Constitutionally mandated oversight.

And in fact when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made up story, it's an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won,” Trump told Holt.
When Holt asked Trump whether he was "angry" with Comey "because of his Russia investigation," the president replied, “I just want somebody that's competent. I am a big fan of the FBI, I love the FBI.”
That's not Trump saying he fired Comey because of this "Trump-Russia thing." In fact he said he was planning on firing Comey and knew there was no good time but when he decided he said the Trump and Russia is a made up story.
Trump also offered up this Tweet:

Expanding on this: it's possible for your actions to not be influenced by something that also angers you. For example if I fired someone because they missed 2 weeks of work but I also didn't like the fact that they called me a meanie head this does not mean I fired them because they called me a meanie head. It's an observation in addition to the reason I fired them.

Also, Mueller has multiple guilty pleas. So yes, some laws were broken.
Guilty pleas do not equal broken laws. There are plenty of reasons to take a plea even if you didn't break the law. It usually means a law was broken, it is not a guarantee.

The only question is when Mueller will file his report and what Rosenstein will do with it. I don't think Mueller will wait until after the midterm elections and I don't think Rosenstein is just going to sit on it. Not looking good for Trump. He's done a wonderful job conditioning our country to his obstruction because, no matter what Mueller finds he's done in secret, he does plenty of it right in the open. From asking Russia to hach, and tweeting at Yates before she testified to congress and telling Sessions to end the investigation, he does it right out in the open. He's smart enough to push big lies with gusto and it causes people to ignore the ethical and even criminal aspects of it. He's just crazy Donald being crazy again.

I hope that Mueller turns in his report when it's ready and doesn't try to play a timing game. No matter when he reports there will be a frenzy to discredit him and the report. It really won't matter if he does it in October or January. Hell, it may not even change any minds whether it's good or bad for trump.
We'll see what happens with trumps deposition. They may be coming to end of the game playing and delays. To borrow a line from Rudy, it's time for trump to put up or shut up. If they do sit down with Mueller in the next few weeks he may be able to wrap up and report. Of course, he could also have other investigations going on which aren't in the news which could also delay his final report.

President Trump reportedly fears that his son Donald Trump Jr. may have inadvertently gotten himself into legal trouble.
The Washington Post reported Saturday that Trump has told advisers and close confidantes he doesn’t believe his son knowingly broke any law, but said Trump Jr. could have unwittingly crossed a legal line.
Special counsel Robert Mueller is examining Trump Jr. for his role in arranging a June 2016 meeting in Trump Tower between a Russian lawyer and Trump campaign officials, including himself.

President Trump has reportedly been privately venting about the trial of his former campaign head Paul Manafort, believing that it is an attempt by special counsel Robert Mueller
to embarrass him.
The Washington Post reported Saturday that Trump thinks both the media and Mueller are using this week's trial on Manafort's bank and tax fraud charges to try to undercut his presidency.
“He is completely outraged by the way Manafort has been treated, with the solitary confinement and all of that,” Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani told The Post. “It’s obvious to him that they’re all but torturing Manafort in order to try to get him to flip.”
I'm sure he'll pardon them both if it comes down to convictions. At that point I imagine all hell will break loose politically.

As a Candidate it makes sense to meet with people in the effort of gaining unsavory information on your opponents. The claim that it went nowhere is pretty much the outcome you'd expect if the person you're meeting with doesn't believe you'd win.

Donald Trump's campaign is still soliciting illegal donations from foreign individuals — including members of foreign governments at their official email addresses — weeks after the campaign was put on notice by watchdog groups.
Foreign members of parliament from the United Kingdom and Australia confirmed to The Hill that they received fundraising solicitations from the Trump campaign as recently as July 12 — two weeks after a widely publicized Federal Election Commission (FEC) complaint issued on June 29 by nonpartisan watchdogs Democracy 21 and the Campaign Legal Center.
This is from an article in The Hill July 16, 2016 (http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/288031-trump-campaign-solicits-illegal-foreign-donations-despite-warnings). If you and I plan to rob a bank, we enter the bank and yell “this is a robbery”, then we go into the vault but all they have are pennies and we leave with nothing, is that a crime?
The only problem with your analogy is "colluding" isn't a crime and speaking with representatives of a foreign government isn't illegal. The only crime you are talking about is literally if the campaign received something of value. To my knowledge a case hasn't even been successfully tried against someone where words were considered value.

Conspiring with a foreign government to get opposition research on your political opponent is a crime.
As for "value", who determines if it's valuable or not? This guy says the Russian spy gave Don Jr. a folder during the meeting:
However, the former intelligence officer, Rinat Akhmetshin, offered a different version of events, describing how Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya handed a plastic folder to the Trump team after the group had gathered in a room in Trump Tower in Manhattan.
The documents inside apparently detailed what the lawyer believed to be an illicit flow of funds to the Democratic National Committee.
"This could be a good issue to expose how the DNC is accepting bad money,' Akhmetshin recalled her saying," according to the Associated Press report.
And this is what she said about the meeting.
When asked why Trump Jr. might have expected that she could provide such information, Veselnitskaya ascribed it to wishful thinking.
"It is quite possible that maybe they were longing for such an information," she said.
"They wanted it so badly that they could only hear the thought that they wanted."
She said Trump Jr. asked just one question during their meeting, probing for evidence the Democratic National Committee was accepting illegal or embarrassing contributions.
"The question that I was asked was as follows: whether I had any financial records which might prove that the funds used to sponsor the DNC were coming from inappropriate sources," the lawyer said.
By all accounts Don Jr. went to the meeting to get dirt on the DNC from the Russians. That's not disputed. Is the question now whether or not he got anything or anything good enough to use?

Which crime specifically are you referring to?
The courts.
We'll find out if/when Jr. is indicted and if/when this thing goes before a court. As a lay person you can see a number of possible crimes commited by Don Jr. and his Dad. Of course there's the campaign/FEC law about soliciting or receiving something of value which has already been pointed out many many times here. Even today that was posted here. Then there is the cover up. Corallo says Hope Hicks told Trump that the emails will never be found. Don Jr. also testified under oath that his Dad didn't know about the meeting but Cohen says he did. Guiliani's been inconsistent in his defense also.
To make a long story short: I don't know what crimes if any have been committed. The jury's out on that so to speak.
Here's a good article about the whole thing. It doesn't indict or exonerate trump and his people. It's worth a read. One quote stood out to me and it's about the difference between a smoking gun and white collar crime. Something to keep in mind as we hash out exactly when or how a crime may have been committed.
“Don’t think of crimes as something committed at a specific time and date,” Mariotti said. “Typically a white-collar crime is something that happens over a long period of time and it involves many different steps.”

That's spot on. It's a religious argument like the "god of the gaps" theory. As we fill in the gaps they keep shrinking their defense to avoid dealing with the new evidence. This is why logic and reason aren't entering into this. The trump phenomenon is more faith based than factual.

I don't think so. From the beginning it was more like this, "If trump did this or that then I'd be the first one to say impeach him, but we should give him a chance blah blah blah." "He's the president now so we should support him but if he colluded then I'll be the first one to vote him out!"
There's no doubt that the excuses are ever evolving as more information comes to light.
Even trump has evolved his excuses. He does that across the spectrum but isolated to this one event you can see his excuses have evolved. His lawyers have also changed their statements.
To say the message has been consistent is not consistent with reality.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about regarding their changing stories. Note how he says he'd only been involved for a couple of weeks at that time. This keeps coming up when they want to distance themselves and we've seen it with Manafort and Coffee Boy.
According to Sekulow, who had previously put out a memo about the meeting that is now at odds with Trump’s admission he had only been involved in the Trump legal camp for “a couple of weeks” at the time.
Adressing his own investigation about the meeting, he added, “There was a lot of information we were gathering.”
“As my colleague Rudy Giuliani said at the time, I had bad information at that time and made a mistake in my statement. I’ve talked about that before,” he explained. “That happens when you have cases like this.”
“I have to say, over time, facts develop,” he admitted.

The question's asked over and over about what laws were broken. Here's an idea from Stephanopoulos. We don't know what will come of any of this, but it does answer the question of possible charges.
"The question is how would [the meeting] would be illegal," Sekulow said on ABC's "This Week." "You have to look at what laws, rules, regulations, statutes are purportedly violated here."
'"Well, they've actually pointed to several, including conspiracy to defraud the United States," host George Stephanopoulos retorted. "That would be one of the possible charges, aiding and abetting conspiracy."
Manafort is on trial for conspiracy against the United States right now (among other charges).
They also got Papadopolous for trying to get "dirt" like Don Jr. did.
In a separate development Monday, newly unsealed court documents show George Papadopoulos, a former foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump, pleaded guilty on Oct. 5.
As part of a sworn statement to the court, Papadopoulos says he repeatedly met in 2016 with Russians offering “dirt” on Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Papadopoulos says he then relayed that and other messages from the Russians to senior members of Trump’s GOP campaign.

Don't be such a vaginahead.
My first instinct is to insult you back, but I’m not going to.
I’m going to send a tweet to ray Lewis and ask him to pray for you. He’s really good at this.
Maybe he can get Jesus to speak to you and maybe you’ll rethink all of this. God bless!

Those numbers = higher middle class incomes. Obviously it's too difficult for you to understand.
The 4.1% would be 6th best in the Obama era. Nothing to brag about it.

It's ok to give trump credit for good numbers. The economy's great. I have real concerns about the future but my predictions that trump would immediately fuck everything up were wrong.
What's galling is that you won't give Obama credit for his numbers. No metric is outstandingly different from where Obama had the economy headed and the rate of job growth is slowing. That makes sense because we're running out of unemployed and nothing to blame trump for but in the same vein you've got to give Obama credit.
What we see, over and over again, is that the right wingers here will consistently look back to blame democrats and consistently only look forward from 1/20/16 to praise trump.

These guys just throw shit at the wall to see what sticks. It works great on their base who eat this stuff up. Not sure what affect it's having on the rest of the electorate.
“Well, I wonder why the Secret Service, if this was nefarious, why the Secret Service allowed these people in. The president had Secret Service protection at that point, and that raised a question with me,” Jay Sekulow, a member of the president’s legal team, said on Sunday on the ABC news program “This Week.”
In an emailed response to questions about Sekulow’s comments, Secret Service spokesman Mason Brayman said the younger Trump was not under Secret Service protection at the time of the meeting, which included Trump’s son and two senior campaign officials.
“Donald Trump, Jr. was not a protectee of the USSS in June, 2016. Thus we would not have screened anyone he was meeting with at that time,” the statement said.

GDP Annual Growth Rate in the United States averaged 3.20 percent from 1948 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 13.40 percent in the fourth quarter of 1950 and a record low of -3.90 percent in the second quarter of 2009.
Above average. Best I'm seeing out of Obama was around 3.80 and that took 7 years to accomplish.

It's fascinating how Trump supporters are willing to be lied to like this. Trump is a pathological liar on a scale we've never seen before.
I would understand it if Trump supporters were actually getting something out of it, but besides an extra $100 or so on your paycheck, what do you actually get? ICE has ramped up deportations, so your fear of brown-skinned people has probably diminished a bit, but I don't see anything else.
$100 a week for 52 weeks is $5200 a year. I realize you are so rich, probably richer than even time4fun.. but $5200 a year is a big deal to most people.
And seeing your meltdown enter year #2 soon has been everything and more that I thought it would be when I pulled that level for President Trump.
Thank you.

Ya judge nap. It's really unfortunate that the mean old government makes it easier (easier than what I don't know) to bust politicians who conspire with foreign powers to work against their fellow citizens in open and fair elections. On a positive note it's good that they're talking about it as a reality now and not doing the "No collusion to collusion is not a crime" conversion, but WTF. We should be a grateful nation that our Law Enforcement community has the tools to fight these types of crimes.
“Is there a crime here or conspiracy?” co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked Napolitano.
“I don’t know the answer to that. But unfortunately, a lot of these statutes are written to make it easier for the government to convict,” Napolitano said in response.
“So if there was an agreement to receive dirt on Hillary from the Russians, even if the dirt never came, if those who agreed, at least one of them, took some step in furtherance of the agreement, then there is the potential crime for conspiracy,” Napolitano added.

Hate to break it to you but I got a feeling he’s going to get a 2nd term. :(
Given the Democrat Platform, the perspective nominees and the absolute meltdown by the MSM and liberal retards... it's almost a certainty.
4 MORE YEARS!
Also: In before you get rekt again, dumbass.

Be sure to schedule a couple days off after the election - you're gonna be glued to the television watching liberals go crazy afterwards.

3rd parties are killing us. Fucking Manchik in Ohio running for Green party taking 1% of the vote. Where the hell is Ross Perot when you need him?
I first decided to run for Congress in 2015 when I became truly ashamed and disgusted that this evil man and the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, was actually representing the good people of Ohio in the United States House of Representatives in Washington.

It's not the 3rd parties that are killing you.. it's your far left crazy train liberal agenda that is turning people against you.
Sorry.
Its's very telling that 1000 people would rather vote for a complete lunatic who believes he is the offspring of aliens than to have to vote for the Democrat.
