Smile So Much for Global Warming
That's because Global Warming hasn't been a thing since they realized it wasn't what they sold it to us as where we should have all been underwater since the 90s, so they changed it to Global Cooling. Then when that didn't pan out they just went with all encompassing Climate Change to make it easier to blame everything that happens on republicans.
Soon it will be changed to "weather events" and then everything will be Trump's fault even more!

The way weather works is not a simple all or nothing game. It's very complex, even scientists now are looking into how alot of the effects global warming has on the weather. Just because you dont want something to be real, doesn't mean it isn't. Global warming is very real. Literally thousands of people who have far more expertise on these topics than all of us have said it, confirmed it, tested it, retested it, and reconfirmed it. That's how science works. Not sticking your finger in the air, saying hey: it's cold today - Global Warming must be a hoax by the damn liberals. Get over your hatred for liberals and face the facts ;-)
But anyways it was obvious you were just trolling for a fight, and I took the bait. So feel free to go on and explain how I'm a dirty liberal and so are all the scientists and anyone who disagrees with you is a commy.

I dislike that scientists spend millions of dollars and time to state the obvious. The "climate changes". Really? I didn't know that. There is "global warming". No shit. There is also "global cooling". Duh. The warming and cooling of the planet is always happening over millennia - hence the... DRUM ROLLLLLL... "climate change"!
Now if the supporters of "man-made global warming" would just shut the hell up (because last I looked they all drive cars, they all shop at grocery stores, they all type their crazy shit on the internet, etc. etc. etc.) and shift their talking points to simple, effective ways to minimize pollution of current industries and developing technology (solar/wind/etc.) to assist in the reduction of pollution that can harm our ecosystem in the future... instead of demonizing everyone with the mantra of "global warming/climate change" over and over and over... I think there could be real progress.
It's the continued way the information is presented and vitriolic language used to attack anyone that may have a differing viewpoint is tiring. Just a thought.

I just have one question. If people were not industrialized during the Middle Ages why did the little ice age stop?
https://www.eh-resources.org/little-ice-age/
The earth's climate does change, I agree. I however do not agree with the approach many take at trying to convince others of why we are horrid people for driving around big trucks etc. If people truly think that if we all drove Toyota Prius' or other non petrol vehicles that it's going to stop climate change they are delusional. If we all did drive these around next thing you know the planet would adjust to less emissions and hypothetically correct for this by getting hotter/cooler/(insert whatever theory here). Then the sky will be falling once again in knee jerk reaction land.

Yes the climate changes naturally. But the fact that thousands of scientists have confirmed is that the current changes are rapid, and due to human causes. That is also the fact that many ordinary people with 0 expertise on the matter claim is NOT true. Such as you both.
So you both are claiming the climate changing is natural. Based on what evidence? What Trump said? What some "expert" stooge on Fox News said?
I choose to go with 97% of the entire scientific community on this one. But hey, you can always hope those 3% are right and hold your breath. Facing overwhelming evidence, let's just keep on burning fossil fuels, blasting carbon and methane into the atmosphere and hope the warming is all natural or that it will just "get cold one day" and everything will be fine. I however, and every other country in the world except the US, think we should face the problem and fucking fix it.

Better yet here is an analogy: Paul Revere (except, thousands of paul reveres in this case) went from town to town telling the people the British are coming. They grabbed their arms, they got ready, they were not caught by surprise. Except there were a few idiots and drunkards in the town who sat there and said: No they are not. People come and people go, maybe they are just coming to have some tea and say hi and will leave shortly thereafter and crossed their arms and waited. Even after the british started sacking towns and word broke they had arrived, those few people still held their ground. Mainly because they didn't want to be wrong and look like idiots.
People like ClydeR, Trump, and a few industry stooges and those industries negatively impacted by climate change regulations are those idiots. So keep on pretending reality is not real and whatever news you find on your republican propoganda websites are real. The rest of us will try to save your asses.

I also have to question your thought that recent temps can't be used to argue against global warming but a sample size of a century over the course of 4.5 billion years is a solid argument.
The people you are calling science deniers are actually using a much much larger sample size. 1/73,000 (no man made global warming sample size) , 73,000/(4,500,000,000 * 365) (pro global warming sample size).
P.S. Just to give you the benefit of the doubt I gave you 73,000 days (200 years)

It's the continued way the information is presented and vitriolic language used to attack anyone that may have a differing viewpoint is tiring. Just a thought. The millions of dollars went to determining how climate changes, not that it does. For example, we can now model the effects of solar cycles, volcanic activity, and all other inhuman phenomena. This model correctly predicts temperatures into prehistory except for the period of human industrialization, at which point the model has to include that as well.
Consider a car rolling downhill. It is subject to the earth's gravity, friction on the wheels, friction from the air, and many other forces - the increase and decrease in its velocity is always happening. You apply the brakes, and the car stops. There have been many other times where the car was stopped, yet if I were to say that this particular time it was your application of the brakes that caused the car to break with models that do not include the effect of the brakes, you would (presumably) not take that as my demonizing you and demand I shut the hell up.
The only difference between the two scenarios is that you personally have applied the brakes in a car many times, and you personally have not done the research on climate change even once. It is not a question of logic, reasoning, or intelligence. You haven't done the research, it gets under your skin when elitists tell you you're wrong, and scientists are our elite in knowing what's correct.

I don't know why you seem so angry. Just trying to understand why not look at the 97% with some skepticism. Remember when scientists made a flu vaccine and it gave people Guillain-Barre Syndrome? We are human we make mistakes.
This is a sincerely honest questions for you. How do you fix it? If we all drive electric cars they still need to be powered by energy. Coal fired? Nuclear? Natural Gas? Hydro? Solar? Wind? Which source would be best that will not have any negative impact on the environment?

You use that 97% number like it is some sort of gospel, when it is in fact hogwash, the two 'studies' by Oreskes and Cook that supposedly came to the conclusion were both heavily flawed in their methodology, so you should really stop slinging it about like it is handed down from on high. Just because Obama said it was so, does not make it so, ask all the people that lost their doctors and insurance.
So this is the question that I ask all my liberal compatriots that drone on about how man is killing the planet. How much? How much impact is man having? I mean if I throw a pebble into the ocean in Miami, the water raises in Gibraltar, we cannot measure it but it does. So how much impact are we having, and to a person they stare at me slack jawed and after a moment scream something like, 'It does not matter, we have to do something about it!'
Ok, so just to clarify, you want to jeopardize multiple trillion dollar economies and you cannot even tell me how much impact we are having, with even a little certainty, what the effect will be, if any? Lets say for the sake of your argument, we do something, and something good comes from it, what about the unforeseen things that inevitably happen as well? What if one of them is worse than what we have now? It is not a question of if man is having an impact, of course he is, but how much. I have even seen studies that show more farmable land has been converted as a result of the earth warming, so wouldn't that be a good thing, and you want to stop more crop production?
Man is not killing the planet, we might be killing ourselves, but not the planet, she will shrug off anything we do, and move forward with something else to evolve, maybe an insect this time since reptiles and mammals did not work out.
