Remember the ship that ran into the freighter and caused the death of 7 US Sailors and took the ship out of action for many months for repairs?

The buttnuggets that were in charge of the thing are getting removed from the ship. I would have thought they would all be in the brig already awaiting investigation and trial but apparently not. Any bets on how long they get to spend at Levenworth? Apparently a lot of other people are going to go through disciplinary procedures as well. It says a lot that no one spotted, sounded the alarm, something on the ship when in such tight waters with so many large ships moving around so much.

The commanding officer, executive officer and senior non-commissioned officer of the USS Fitzgerald are due to be removed from their duties for cause amid the fallout surrounding the deadly collision between the USS Fitzgerald and a cargo ship off the coast of Japan on June 17.

"They will be detached from the ship for cause, which is, we've lost trust and confidence in their ability to lead in those positions and they will not return to the ship," Vice Chief of Naval Operations Adm. William Moran told reporters at the Pentagon late Thursday.
