I think Trump is that person who's told that there is a tumor and he confidently pipes up, "Well, all you need to do is just cut it out, duh!", grabs the scapel from the horrified doctor and proceeds to cut open the patient.

Good for her re-election. Everyone thinks trump is a complete moron here. No one respects him and alot of Germans think we are crazy. She may have gotten some brownie points for publicly speaking out against trump, but I dont think thats the main reason she did it.

Why don't Germans pay their fair share of NATO?

Likely because, as most NATO members well understand, NATO is more about enforcing American foreign policy that any real wold wide security. It is highly selective where and when it fights (at America's discretion), and the 2% of GDP goal is pointless. I hope Trump keeps going, he is making NATO rather unpopular up here and we might be able to get out of the money wasting thing (which was unthinkable two years ago). It is really time to let America and Britain take care of their own bullshit and clean up their imperial messes.

And no one respects Trump any where, except the dictators, they have taken a real shine to him. You figure it out.
