Manchester Bombing - Ariana Concert

Twenty-two people were killed and 59 others were wounded in what appeared to be a suicide bombing late Monday in the foyer outside the main hall of the Manchester Arena. The police say a suspect detonated an “improvised explosive device” and died at the scene. Investigators say they believe the man acted alone, but they are trying to determine if he was part of a wider network. There were reports the device used nuts, bolts or nails as shrapnel. The explosion occurred just as a concert by the American pop star Ariana Grande was ending. The police say children were among those killed.

Watched this on CNN last night for a few hours. It's heartbreaking. Fortunately, my friends in the area weren't at the concert.

This happened 15 minutes away from where I live, there were armed police patroling the roads in my small semi rural town a few months ago which is very rare for the UK and almost unheard of in this part of Cheshire so the government must have been well aware yet we have been told nothing. I remember when the IRA bombed the Arndale Centre and living with paranoia after it (is it safe to post this letter or is there a nail bomb inside the letter box).

Also there seems to be a media black out in the UK on the details yet information is plastered all over the American press, the attacker has been named in the American press yet nothing has been confirmed by the Police or the British media at all. Theresa May was also extremely vague in her speach she gave out very little information on the details of the attacker.

22 year old Salman Abedi, whose parents are from Libya, is the suicide bomber. ISIS has claimed responsibility.
