I honestly believe that Repubs just dislike human beings apart from their own inner circle. I know Dems use people as well but at least they draw a line on letting people die.

No, we just resent being forced by statute at gunpoint to abide by other's definitions of generosity, compassion and fairness. All of which are subjective opinions on behavior and not universal facts.

So naturally you'll force everybody else to abide by yours by statute at gunpoint. YES!

Yeah I know. If a liberal thinks he/she needs something, Republicans are morally obligated to provide it. Otherwise we're scum.

That there's zero moral high ground to conservatism (just like liberalism)? Absolutely.

It's kind of hard to outdo liberal immorality when they have rallies in support of mass genocide. Conquer that slight blemish and they would come off a little less....genocidal.

So how exactly do Republicans restrict your personal ability to be generous, compassionate or fair?
Don't worry, I'll wait. OH, and be specific on how you personally are prevented from spending your own money, exorcising your compassion or personal sense of fairness.

You'll figure it out eventually once you see past yourself. I don't expect you'll get there. I'll even give you a hint. It'll involve the Supreme Court.

So how exactly are you personally restricted? Oh yeah, that's right, you can still spend your money and volunteer your time to causes you support. Short of fighting for the Kurds and others overseas, you are free to do as you wish. Be specific or GTFO you crybaby hack.

This bill can go through the Senate on the reconciliation process, which will prevent a filibuster. If this bill passes the Senate, then it will make a lot of money available in the budget for the next fiscal year starting in October, just in time to use the new budget numbers from passing the AHCA as the baseline for the next budget year and the tax cut bill that will be passed by reconciliation.
Reconciliation requires a bill to reduce the deficit over the long-term. The Congressional Budget Office estimated the American Health Care Act would reduce federal deficits by $337 billion over the next ten years.
Tax reform, on the other hand, won’t be as straightforward.
“[Repealing the ACA first] would give them extra money to play around with for tax reform. Tax reform wouldn’t have to be revenue neutral. It would end up being revenue neutral on a dynamic level but the CBO doesn’t always measure all the dynamic effects,” Diana Furchtgott-Roth, former Trump transition team member and former chief economist for the U.S. Department of Labor, told FOX Business.
Speaker Ryan’s health care bill is designed to reduce taxes and spending, which will help improve deficit projections. The idea is health care will improve the baseline and pave the way for the tax overhaul, Paul Howard, senior fellow director in health policy at the Manhattan Institute, told FOX Business.

Cutting a bunch of heath insurance will allow more tax cuts. The whole thing is about using reconciliation to block a filibuster of tax cuts. That's the real goal.

Yup. Anyone who thinks this was a healthcare bill isn't paying much attention. It was a tax bill.
The GOP just cut a bunch of rich peoples' taxes by taking health care away from poor kids with cancer. The fact that we live in a political time where a bill that will reduce the number of people covered under health insurance by 24 million is considered to be a reasonable and responsible way to deal with the fact that not enough people have health care is genuinely terrifying.
What's odder still is the fact that there are people on these boards who are low to mid income and are celebrating this as a victory. Congrats folks- you just lowered my taxes. I'm not really sure what you think you got out of it though.

How do you know their income levels?
Not hard to figure out if you look at general population income averages. I highly doubt everyone here arguing for it are in the top 1%. I could be wrong though. Tgo01 could be Warren Buffet's troll account. Who knows?

You care so much about helping people through increased taxes surely you are going to pay more voluntarily, right?

Sure, she may... but the million+ people like her generally won't, which means the efficacy using this 'out of the kindess of your heart' method is marginal.
