The better question is why don't you care that Russia was successful assisting Trump's election win?
No, the better question is why do you care? You're acting like Hillary was some nobody with no name recognition, with no resources or allies of her own. Poor little Hillary had to go up against the big bad and well financed Trump and his legion of Russian trolls.
Hillary raised and spent more money than Trump did. Pro Hillary SuperPACs raised and spent more money than pro Trump SuperPACs. Hillary had the entire Democrat party united behind her, the Republican party had broken off into splintered factions with some supporting Trump because they thought he was a good candidate, some supporting him simply because he was the Republican candidate, some not supporting him at all, and some even supporting Hillary.
Hillary had almost the entire media in her back pocket. She was given debate questions in advanced because the same person who worked for the DNC worked as a "political analyst" on CNN, the ones doing the debate.
Hillary had everything going for her and if you're going to sit there and claim a bunch of Russian trolls cost her the election because she had no power then you're even more naive than I previously thought. Bubble wrapped inside of a bubble is no longer good enough, we need to put that bubble in a clean room.
Like her medical records. You don't think it was only her server that was hacked do you? Silly Back.
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/291922-trump-spokeswoman-claims-clinton-has-rare-brain-disease
There is no evidence to back those claims up, and Clinton’s physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, has repeatedly stated that the former secretary of State is fit to serve.
Recently, Bardack released a statement to address the conspiracy theories around apparent falsified medical records with her name on them saying that Clinton has dysphasia.
“These documents are false, were not written by me and are not based on any medical facts,” Bardack said. “To reiterate what I said in my previous statement, Secretary Clinton is in excellent health and fit to serve as President of the United States."
No, the better question is why do you care?
Because I live in America and like it the way it is. I don't trust Putin and don't want to live in Russia.

Backlash and time4fun may be onto something. FINALLY, some actual FACTS and PROOF that Russia did collude with Trump during the last election.
My sources, that wish to remain anonymous, have given me a English translation of the Russian Foreign Ministry incoming phone dialogue.
Here it is, translated for you:
You have reached the Russian Embassy. Your call is very important to us.
To arrange a call from a Russian diplomat to your political opponent, press 1.
To use the services of Russian hackers, press 2.
To arrange election interference, press 3 — and wait until the next election campaign.
Please note that all calls are recorded for quality improvement and training purposes.
Now that they have proof and facts on their side, how many President Trump supporters will begin to question how he got into office now!!!

1. We already know the Russians hired people to spread fake news in Trump's favor to help him win the election which he did.
2. Was Trump himself, or anyone on his team, actively soliciting Russia to for aid to win the election?

Buzzfeed reporting today (https://www.buzzfeed.com/alimwatkins/a-former-trump-adviser-met-with-a-russian-spy?utm_term=.hd2p30rdA1#.jhqmY2Xye9) that former Trump adviser was recruited as a Russian asset in 2013:
The adviser, Carter Page, met with a Russian intelligence operative named Victor Podobnyy, who was later charged by the US government alongside two others for acting as unregistered agents of a foreign government. The charges, filed in January 2015, came after federal investigators busted a Russian spy ring that was seeking information on US sanctions as well as efforts to develop alternative energy. Page is an energy consultant.
The revelation of Page’s connection to Russian intelligence — which occurred more than three years before his association with Trump — is the most clearly documented contact to date between Russian intelligence and someone in Trump’s orbit. It comes as federal investigators probe whether Trump’s campaign-era associates — including Page — had any inappropriate contact with Russian officials or intelligence operatives during the course of the election. Page has volunteered to help Senate investigators in their inquiry.
A few things of note-
-This was three years before Page had access to anything particularly sensitive and there's no evidence he leaked anything confidential
-Page's relationship with Russia has continued to grow since, however, despite having been informed by the FBI that he was being recruited by Russian spies. He has developed numerous relationships with people close to Putin (https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-s-intel-officials-probe-ties-between-trump-adviser-and-kremlin-175046002.html) and has given speeches that are highly critical of US foreign policy to Russian-backed groups.
-It is unthinkable that Trump's campaign team wasn't aware of Page's past associations. So why was he given such an important role on the campaign, and why did the campaign allow him to continue to travel to Moscow during the campaign?
Additionally, the spies who attempted to recruit Carter Page had ties to a particular Russian state-operated bank. One of the spies was the 2nd highest official in the New York City office of the bank, and the bank paid both his legal fees and his debt to his landlord. The chairman of the bank was hand-picked by Putin and spent his earlier years attending and graduating from the Russian school where intelligence and security operatives are trained (it's where you train for the modern day KGB)
The bank? The one Jared Kushner met with last year (http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/27/politics/kushner-meeting-russian-banker-tied-to-putin/). (a meeting he "forgot" to disclose until it was reported on by the NY Times)

From your own link:
It remains unclear how connected Page was to the Trump campaign. He rose to prominence seemingly out of nowhere last summer, touted by then-candidate Trump as one of his foreign policy advisers. Page was quickly cut from the Trump team following reports that federal investigators were probing his ties to Russian officials. White House press secretary Sean Spicer said last month that the campaign had sent Page cease and desist letters last year, demanding he stop associating himself with it.
RYAN: Thank you… We’ve heard you’re going to be announcing your foreign policy team shortly… Any you can share with us?
TRUMP: Well, I hadn’t thought of doing it, but if you want I can give you some of the names… Walid Phares, who you probably know, PhD, adviser to the House of Representatives caucus, and counter-terrorism expert; Carter Page, PhD; George Papadopoulos, he’s an energy and oil consultant, excellent guy; the Honorable Joe Schmitz, [former] inspector general at the Department of Defense; [retired] Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg; and I have quite a few more. But that’s a group of some of the people that we are dealing with. We have many other people in different aspects of what we do, but that’s a representative group.
Such an important role! Literally just mentioned by name in a list of people!
You Democrats really are scrapping the bottom of the barrel now to try and make this stick.

People often unwittingly, yet actively, disregard or avoid information that calls into question their belief system. That's very much what you're doing right now. Attempting to change the subject and then trying to distract further by questioning why the other party hasn't accepted the bait.
So let's get to the point here- why did the Trump campaign take a guy who was, in 2013, recruited by Russians to be a Russian asset? Why did Carter Page, even after the FBI informed him of such, start very actively building relationships with Russian government officials afterwards? Why did Jared Kushner meet with the bank that was sponsoring and supporting one of the spies while being run by a Putin-appointee who was trained at spy school? Why did he fail to disclose the meeting when asked?
Wouldn't a normal campaign say, "We're staying far away from this"?
Wouldn't a normal person say, "Holy god, the Russians tried to do WHAT? I am staying far away from them"?
Wouldn't a normal person say, "This bank is operated by the Russian state and is involved in their foreign intelligence gathering, and which is currently on the sanctions list (i.e. it's illegal to do business with them)- I need to be nowhere near them! I don't want them to bug me or trick me into divulging sensitive information"?

First time the media connected Page to "Male-1". That's NOT a "small" part of the story.
Though, given how freely Page shared that information with them, it's difficult to imagine that he kept it from, say, the Trump campaign.
This raises serious questions about the actions of Page, the Trump campaign, and Kushner right after the events of 2013.

take a guy who was, in 2013, recruited by Russians to be a Russian asset?
Holy fucking shit. HE WAS NOT RECRUITED. Did you read (or understand?) your own link?
Why did Carter Page, even after the FBI informed him of such, start very actively building relationships with Russian government officials afterwards?
He was interested in energy. He's a fucking energy consultant. He was discussing energy with someone who he thought was a legitimate Russian official. The article makes this crystal clear. Can you read?
Wouldn't a normal campaign say, "We're staying far away from this"?
Again, according to the article the Trump campaign dumped him "quickly" after they found out about this Russian bullshit.
You keep bitching at pk for not wanting to discuss what's in the article yet I've made three posts now directly referencing the article and not a single reply from you. I think what you REALLY mean to say is "I only want people who agree with me to post in regards to this article."

During the interview, Page described how he and the man identified as a Russian recruiter, Victor Podobnyy, met periodically and exchanged emails about the energy industry, but nothing in the court document suggests that Page shared any sensitive information with Podobnyy. Rather, it appears they spoke in much the way business executives seeking opportunities do – with Page touting his work ties to the Russian energy firm Gazprom. The Russians were heard laughing, saying Page had no idea they were government agents.

Wouldn't a normal person say, "Holy god, the Russians tried to do WHAT? I am staying far away from them"?
So like this?
Page was quickly cut from the Trump team following reports that federal investigators were probing (https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-s-intel-officials-probe-ties-between-trump-adviser-and-kremlin-175046002.html) his ties to Russian officials. White House press secretary Sean Spicer said (http://hosted2.ap.org/APDEFAULT/89ae8247abe8493fae24405546e9a1aa/Article_2017-03-20-US--Trump-Campaign/id-7f89a4431cb944c5a7eda227c539b751) last month that the campaign had sent Page cease and desist letters last year, demanding he stop associating himself with it.

Erm Drauz- I pointed this out myself in my original post. It was literally the first bullet item after the quotes from the article.
But my questions about his actions after the fact stand. Page became VERY close to Russian government officials and organizations after 2013.
If you found out that an enemy of the US was trying to unwittingly turn you into a foreign asset, would you then make it a point to get as close to that country's government officials as possible?
And why would he be appointed as a Foreign Affairs advisor to a Presidential campaign a few short years after that? He was a complete unknown at that point. What an interesting coincidence that the Trump campaign "just happened" to have stumbled upon this man and didn't have a problem with his background.

It's beyond hilarious that time4fun quoted this part of the article: "The revelation of Page’s connection to Russian intelligence — which occurred more than three years before his association with Trump — is the most clearly documented contact to date between Russian intelligence and someone in Trump’s orbit." being sure to point that "This is it! This is the most clearly documented contact!!! WE GOT HIM!"
And in the very same story it goes on to show that Page cooperated with the FBI, wasn't charged with anything, there was no evidence he passed off sensitive material, Page says he only discussed energy with them, and Page is cooperating with the congressional investigation into the Russia probe too.
The article also states:
A US intelligence official said that investigators intend to question Page eventually, but that he was not considered a high priority. “There’s so many people that are more relevant,” the official said.
The investigators have came right out and said Page is small potatoes and they'll get to him "eventually" and time4fun is touting this story like it's going to bring about the fall of Trump.
Shit like this makes me think she is just a masterful troll, because how can anyone be this dumb? You have to actively try to be this dumb.

Wait- seriously?
Okay- here's the big thing to keep in mind. Everything below- except his time at Lynch-happened AFTER Russian spies tried to make him a Russian asset. And he KNEW about the attempts
Background- Page worked at the Moscow Merrill Lynch office for years starting in 2004: (http://heavy.com/news/2017/02/carter-page-donald-trump-campaign-russia-vladimir-putin-meet-meeting-igor-sechin/)
Page has also worked on a number of transactions involving Russian oil companies. He has invested personally in Gazprom, a state-run oil company in Russia which operatives in conjunction with Vladimir Putin.
During a June Foreign policy meeting (https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/trump-advisers-public-comments-ties-to-moscow-stir-unease-in-both-parties/2016/08/05/2e8722fa-5815-11e6-9aee-8075993d73a2_story.html?utm_term=.ed678828033a) with some Washington-types (and the Prime Minister of India), he started praising Vladimir Putin as a stronger leader than Obama. Then he went to Moscow the following month to give another anti-US foreign policy speech.
He later wrote an article for Global Policy Journal (http://www.globalpolicyjournal.com/blog/05/01/2015/no-justice-no-nuclear-peace-weapons-mass-destruction-age-inequity)referring to the "so-called Annexation of Crimea", and the "misguided policies of the West". The article basically tried to say that the US was the real aggressor.
He wrote yet another article (http://www.globalpolicyjournal.com/blog/10/02/2015/new-slaves-global-edition-russia-iran-and-segregation-world-economy) condemning the US sanctions against Russia.
Two weeks before the RNC last year (https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-s-intel-officials-probe-ties-between-trump-adviser-and-kremlin-175046002.html), he went back to Moscow and gave a University commencement speech:
Page showed up again in Moscow in early July, just two weeks before the Republican National Convention formally nominated Trump for president, and once again criticized U.S. policy. Speaking at a commencement address for the New Economic School, an institution funded in part by major Russian oligarchs close to Putin, Page asserted that “Washington and other West capitals” had impeded progress in Russia “through their often hypocritical focus on ideas such as democratization, inequality, corruption and regime change.”
So, let's talk about the stuff he's really in trouble for:
Reportedly meeting with high ranking Russian officials about eliminating Russian sanctions (in 2016): (https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-s-intel-officials-probe-ties-between-trump-adviser-and-kremlin-175046002.html)
The activities of Trump adviser Carter Page, who has extensive business interests in Russia, have been discussed with senior members of Congress during recent briefings about suspected efforts by Moscow to influence the presidential election, the sources said. After one of those briefings, Senate minority leader Harry Reid wrote FBI Director James Comey, citing reports of meetings between a Trump adviser (a reference to Page) and “high ranking sanctioned individuals” in Moscow over the summer as evidence of “significant and disturbing ties” between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin that needed to be investigated by the bureau.
Page initially denied having any contact with any Russian officials, (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2017/03/02/trump-teams-many-many-denials-contacts-russia/98625780/) but, after several publications started to reveal his contacts he suddenly "remembered" meeting with some people (http://www.pbs.org/newshour/rundown/reversal-former-trump-campaign-adviser-carter-page-now-says-contact-russia/)- including the Russian ambassador that everyone on the Trump team meets with and yet always forgets about.
One such meeting (https://www.yahoo.com/news/u-s-intel-officials-probe-ties-between-trump-adviser-and-kremlin-175046002.html) that reportedly took place helped land him on the "investigate this guy" list:
But U.S. officials have since received intelligence reports that during that same three-day trip, Page met with Igor Sechin, a longtime Putin associate and former Russian deputy prime minister who is now the executive chairman of Rosneft, Russian’s leading oil company, a well-placed Western intelligence source tells Yahoo News. That meeting, if confirmed, is viewed as especially problematic by U.S. officials because the Treasury Department in August 2014 named Sechin to a list of Russian officials and businessmen sanctioned over Russia’s “illegitimate and unlawful actions in the Ukraine.”
Oh, and:
U.S. intelligence agencies have also received reports that Page met with another top Putin aide while in Moscow — Igor Diveykin. A former Russian security official, Diveykin now serves as deputy chief for internal policy and is believed by U.S. officials to have responsibility for intelligence collected by Russian agencies about the U.S. election, the Western intelligence source said
Finally, guess whose name turned up on the infamous Dossier? Carter Page!
Before Page was really on anyone's radar, the Trump Dossier claimed that Page and his associates were being promised a 19% stake in the giant Russian oil company- Rosneft- if he got Trump in office:
A dossier with unverified claims about President Donald Trump's ties to Russia contained allegations that Igor Sechin, the CEO of Russia's state oil company, offered former Trump ally Carter Page and his associates the brokerage of a 19% stake in the company in exchange for the lifting of US sanctions on Russia
In early December, Rosneft sold 19.5% of the business to unknown persons. (http://www.dailykos.com/story/2017/1/30/1627621/-19-5-of-Rosneft-Russia-s-State-Oil-Co-Sold-to-Unknown-Parties)

With Page it's the same problem as with Trump: saying you're not something and then absolutely acting as though you are.
You know a country tried to make you an unwitting asset, and so you start hopping over and meeting with people close to the country's "President"? You start giving speeches and writing articles praising Putin/Russia and lambasting your own country?
You lie about meetings with high level Russian officials and invest heavily in a Russian-owned oil company? You get involved in the campaign of a candidate that Russia is helping to win- as their foreign policy adviser despite having no real experience?
Ask yourself- are these the actions of someone who was being wooed into becoming a Russian operative but refused?
Or are these the actions of someone who was being wooed into becoming a Russian operative and accepted?

"Pseudo-Intellectual Bullshit" a person who pretends an interest in intellectual matters for reasons of status. A pretend intellectual who wants status if you will.
Please cite the specific examples.
Just because someone calls your antics high-school debate team worthy, and points out your talent for sniffing out Conjunctive Fallacies doesn't mean they don't think you're still pretty or smart.

Pseudo literally means not actually but having the appearance of - Spuriously also means "not having" or "not genuine" - Intellectually Pretentious implies actual intellectual status by nature. You cannot have what your (and my) definition defies the existence of.
I do not think that means what you think it means

My argument is you're a troll and only practice in the adversary not the opinion. I thought I made it pretty plain? You often attack folks character, intelligence and stature rather than the substance of their thoughts, and you pounce (like a sexy panther) on the slightest technical fault rather than the summary whole.
It's a very effective debate tactic, it does nothing to uncover the truth or even propose your own defensible argument though. Which is fine if all you wanted was a target to oppose

Neither Putin nor Trump, it’s safe to say, are crisis managers by nature. Both are notoriously thin-skinned, operate on instinct, and have a tendency to shun expert advice. (These days, Putin is said to surround himself not with seasoned diplomats but cronies from his old spy days.) Both are unafraid of brazenly lying, fueling an atmosphere of extreme distrust on both sides. Stavridis, who has studied both Putin and Trump and who met with Trump in December, concluded that the two leaders “are not risk-averse. They are risk-affectionate.”

Yeah same with Manafort. Same with Flynn.
Your point is ridiculous. The Trump campaign couldn't have possibly NOT known Page's history. All your little paragraph shows is the they have a history of waiting to get rid of these folks until it becomes public knowledge.
Also, I LOVE that you took Spicer's word for the C&Ds. Hilarious. Trump named Page as one of his top foreign advisors (an energy guy whose international experience was...Russia). His campaign even approved Page's trips to Russia.
And, how on Earth do they keep "accidentally" finding these people? Not a single one of you have ever managed to explain that.

The FBI gathered intelligence last summer that suggests Russian operatives tried to use Trump advisers, including Carter Page, to infiltrate the Trump campaign, according to US officials.
The new information adds to the emerging picture of how the Russians tried to influence the 2016 election, not only through email hacks and propaganda but also by trying to infiltrate the Trump orbit. The intelligence led to an investigation into the coordination of Trump's campaign associates and the Russians.
Wait a minute. If Trump is a Russian spy, or at the very least colluded with Putin, then why was Russia trying to infiltrate Trump's campaign? Wouldn't Trump be welcoming them with open arms since he's Putin's stooge?
Wait wait, let me guess, the new narrative is Russia "tried" to infiltrate Trump's campaign...and then succeeded! And managed to brain wash Trump within two hours since he's so weak willed and all. I about sum up the latest bullshit twist in this saga?

The Obama administration was also caught tapping the phones of the PM of Germany, but since Merkel and Obama were such good buddies they just pretended like it never happened. The Obama administration was also caught tapping phones of reporters, I want to say they worked for Reuters. To Reuters credit compared to Merkel, they didn't pretend it never happened, but they didn't report on it as much as they would have if say Trump had done something like that.
