They've gotta be joking about Petraeus as a replacement though:
White House officials have begun discussing the possibility of replacements, and Mr. Trump is consulting Jim Mattis, the secretary of defense and a retired four-star general. Among the options are David H. Petraeus, the former C.I.A. director, and Thomas P. Bossert, the head of Mr. Trump’s domestic security council. Mr. Petraeus, also a retired four-star general, was forced out as the director of the C.I.A. because of an affair with his biographer, to whom he passed classified information. Mr. Petraeus would not need confirmation by the Senate as national security adviser.

So far Trump hasn't destabilized a mid-eastern country and stood around with his thumb up his ass as another country falls into a hellish civil war. There's really an endless list of things he hasn't done when compared to the last administration.

I keep seeing these "you lost" statements, like "you're just mad your side lost." Last I checked we were all on the same side, the United States of America, a majority of people wanted someone else to be President, and the man who did win the Electoral College was cheered on by our enemies, including Russia and North Korea.
Since taking office 3 weeks ago POTUS has continued as if he's campaigning rather than addressing the serious issues of governing. He has isolated us from our allies, tried to reinstate torture, banned legal residents from returning to the country, been feckless with sensitive security materials, tried to discredit our judicial system, among other things. Looks like we all lost, only some of you are cheering it on.

False cases then, the EO didn't effect green card holders or citizens, so no, no legal residents were barred reentry.
And no one is "acting" like it. You folks like to throw the term out all willy nilly whenever someone disagrees with you. The order was struck down by the courts because it was so vague and could be applied to legal residents. You have an Olympic bronze medalist detained by Customs (http://www.nj.com/essex/index.ssf/2017/02/olympian_from_nj_says_she_was_detained_by_us_custo .html), and a NASA scientist forced to unlock his phone (http://ktla.com/2017/02/13/nasa-scientist-says-he-was-detained-at-border-forced-to-unlock-his-phone-before-entering-airport-in-houston/)

Those aren't residents. They are guests on a VISA. Again, the EO effect 0 US Residents. It couldn't be applied to residents. It specifically mentions Green Card status and US Citizenship.
And I can stand be called a racist, if I'm actually being racist. I don't think I've ever called anyone a cuck. I'm not quite sure what that term means. Other than that, any time I've called anyone any of the other terms, it has been 100% wikipedia verifiable fact. Those people have due process rights. Here is part of the 9th Circuit ruling:
They said the states were likely to succeed at the end of the day because Mr. Trump’s order appeared to violate the due process rights of lawful permanent residents, people holding visas and refugees.
The court said the administration’s legal position in the case had been a moving target. It noted that Donald F. McGahn II, the White House counsel, had issued “authoritative guidance” several days after the executive order came out, saying it did not apply to lawful permanent residents. But the court said that “we cannot rely” on that statement.
“The White House counsel is not the president,” the decision said, “and he is not known to be in the chain of command for any of the executive departments.“ It also mentioned “the government’s shifting interpretations” of the executive order.

Just look at the original EO...
"Suspension of Issuance of Visas and Other Immigration Benefits to Nationals of Countries of Particular Concern." Gee, is the 9th dumb? Are you? Did they even read the order? Issuance... Issuance. Hmm.. Nope, that doesn't effect current green card holders or citizens... Just people trying to be issued a Visa or a Green Card. So, nope, doesn't effect current legal residents. It clearly specifies visas about 200 times.
As for the new one, it hasn't been published yet. It is awaiting the disposition of the full 9th.

Not as astounding as your lack of understanding of what a resident is. Trying to parse between the EO and the court order staying the EO is a weak argument. That's like saying "I was talking about speeding being against the law, not the fact that I got a ticket for speeding!"
The bottom line is that the order was weak, because the administration is kind of amature hour. Maybe they'll catch up and improve their ability to write, or take a bit more time and get things right.
By the way, I hope he isn't able to admit defeat and this one goes all the way to the supreme court, instead of the smart move and rewriting the order in a more narrow fashion. Some of the lowest points in our country have been when we've gone looking for some "other" to blame for some problem and proceeeded to treat them as second class citizens. Hopefully we're not entering one of those periods of time.

As for the new one, he did write a new one, it hasn't been published yet. It is awaiting the disposition of the full 9th.
So until then its the First Order?
Where have we heard that before?

A LEGAL RESIDENT is one who has a Green Card or is a Citizen. Nothing more need be said. Someone here on a Visa isn't a resident, they are a visitor or a temporary worker. Their visa expires, they go back t their home country.
Stop bringing up the court order. I was NEVER talking about the court. The court can say what the court wants. I was talking specifically about the EO and the fact that Trump DID NOT bar LEGAL RESIDENTS fro mreentry into the US.

"Adding to the confusion, Trump administration officials seemed to at times contradict themselves during appearances on Sunday news shows. In mere minutes during an interview with NBC, White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said the order "doesn't affect" green card holders, then later said "of course" it affects green card holders from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia -- the seven countries Trump has temporarily stop immigration from for 90 days."
Green card, resident, citizen. Good words. The best words. Yuge.

The FBI in late December reviewed intercepts of communications between the Russian ambassador to the United States and retired Lt. Gen. Michael T. Flynn — national security adviser to then-President-elect Trump — but has not found any evidence of wrongdoing or illicit ties to the Russian government, U.S. officials said.

You should be especially suspect of any conspiracy theories that support what you already believe.
Even as Democrats decry the false claims streaming regularly from the White House, they appear to have become more vulnerable to unsupported claims and conspiracy theories that flatter their own political prejudices. The reason isn’t just that a Republican now occupies the White House. Political psychology research suggests that losing political control can make people more vulnerable to misinformation and conspiracy theories.

My country was not founded based on your God or on some vague principle of respect for the military. What country do you live in?
Same country you do, perhaps you should actually read our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Learning a bit more about history and actually listening to the words of our National Anthem wouldnt hurt either.
Brave men and women died for the rights you so blithely spit upon today.

You are using the words of a song that was written 40 years after the founding of the county, and made the national anthem more than 150 years after the founding, as an example of the goals of the founders while ignoring all of the times that they themselves said that this country was not a Christian nation, but I'm the one who needs to learn a bit more about history?

That blue checkmark on verified Twitter accounts is there for a reason.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., and The New York Times learned that lesson the hard way Tuesday when all three were fooled into quoting a fake Twitter account.
The mixup arose after the resignation of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who left the White House on Monday night after revelations that he misled Vice President Pence about a December phone call Flynn had with a Russian official. Early Tuesday morning, the account @GenMikeFlynn seemingly shared the retired lieutenant general’s thoughts on his ouster.

Not really sure how this would overturn the election since Mike Pence, the elected vice president, would become president? Unless you think he is implicated in this somehow and would be out too?
Serious question for ParkBandit/Tgo01/Neveragain/other Trump supporters and I am honestly trying to understand where you are coming from: Can you please explain your viewpoint on Mike Flynn's resignation? Do you acknowledge that he lied to VP Pence? Do you think that is a fireable offence? Do you think he lied about it to Trump too? Do you think he did this entirely on his own accord or instead in collaboration with other people in the administration? Do you think that the answers to these questions are important?

All we really know at this point is that inteligence agencies went to the white house and said Flynn was vulnerable to blackmail. They are not suprisingly short on details; it could be anything. A lot of people are assuming it's because of this one conversation with a Russian diplomat, but that doesn't seem blackmail worthy to me. It's not the next Watergate unless evidence comes out that Trump was involved. So far no such evidence.

Just a quick reminder, Watergate hearings started in Jan. 1973 and Nixon resigned in Aug. 1974.
The idea that somehow all the ducks get lined up in a row to even start hearings and ending with a Trump resignation would somehow be a quick process is preposterous. Considering these are leaks from within our intelligence agencies and recordings took place before the election makes it even more suspicious and could lead to a huge shit pile of troubles across the board. It could easily be the next election cycle before any resignation took place.
