Trump met in private with media bigshots and let them have it. They were all liars, he said, for getting the election wrong. There were a lot of liars in this forum who got it wrong too.

“Trump started with [CNN chief] Jeff Zucker and said ‘I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed,’ ” the source said.

“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.

A second source confirmed the fireworks.

“The meeting took place in a big board room and there were about 30 or 40 people, including the big news anchors from all the networks,” the other source said.

“Trump kept saying, ‘We’re in a room of liars, the deceitful dishonest media who got it all wrong.’ He addressed everyone in the room calling the media dishonest, deceitful liars. He called out Jeff Zucker by name and said everyone at CNN was a liar, and CNN was [a] network of liars,” the source said.

“Trump didn’t say [NBC reporter] Katy Tur by name, but talked about an NBC female correspondent who got it wrong, then he referred to a horrible network correspondent who cried when Hillary lost who hosted a debate – which was Martha Raddatz who was also in the room.”

The stunned reporters tried to get a word in edgewise to discuss access to a Trump Administration.

So lemme get this straight...the media got a stern talking to about their bias. Somehow I just can't shed any tears...suck it up snowflakes.

Trump wasn't my first, second, third (or fourth) choice for President, and I do have concerns. Liberals having their bias (or is bigotry a better word?) rebuked is not one of them.

Unless it's just not allowed for some reason, why the fuck would you stay in the room and subject yourself to that? If I was the CNN chief I would have walked my ass out of that meeting.

Politicians and the media are co-dependent upon each other. CNN will be fucked if they get nose bleed access to the white house, any one of them would have sucked Trumps dick at that meeting if they knew it meant getting white house access.

Bunch of people from the media who has called Trump unfit for the presidency, a racist, sexist, and a bigot, and have gone on air to say if they had given Trump less air time they could have swayed people enough to let Hillary win, and they expected Trump to welcome them with open arms?

These guys do remember who Trump is don't they?

Apparently not. I'm sure Trump will give the media plenty of reasons to whine (in their view) over the next four years, and I must admit I am looking forward to that...

Wait... he called them all liars because polling data put Hillary ahead? Or did he call them liars because of the amount of free air time he got which probably helped him win the election and now he's mad because he didn't actually want to win, he just wanted to run but had no designs of actually running a country...

Trump needs to take a statistics class. All this information tells me is that he's just uneducated and sensitive.

EDIT: I would like to add one thing. The news used to be about simply presenting facts. It was a public service. If anything comes out of this I really hope that the "news" becomes a less profit driven business enterprise and gets back to its roots as a simple public service that the networks give to the people. But hey, that's probably just my personal utopia and not anything that will ever happen.

Getting money out of news/journalism is about as likely to happen as getting money out of politics, especially given the relationship between the two.

I think one of the most historical notes about this election is that the people ignored the mainstream source of media and turned to the new alternative. Network TV is in it's death throws and if history has taught us anything over this past couple centuries, when a new form of media takes over as mainstream, all kinds of crazy shit happens.
