Anyone read the latest DNC leaked e-mails? Nothing crazy so far other than DWS being a complete cunt towards Sanders and his campaign and especially Mika Brzezinski, god dows DWS hate her. Can't wait to see the next morning show.

Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz was so furious with Mika Brzezinski after the MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-host called on her to resign as chair of the Democratic National Committee back in May that she ordered her deputy to complain to Phil Griffin, the head of the cable network.
The fascinating exchange, which also includes irate emails from Wasserman Schultz to NBC political director Chuck Todd, were released on Friday by WikiLeaks.

It might make no difference, but for KY and WVA can we get someone to ask his belief. Does he believe in a God. He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage. I think I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference with my peeps. My Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and an atheist.

Yeah, DNC actively working to hurt Sanders campaign. Pay no attention to this!

https://wikileaks.org/dnc-emails/emailid/7643

"She's forced to continue to appeal to young liberals as opposed to pivoting back to center"

"Yes, Super PAC paying young voters to push back online on Sanders supporters"

"Clinton Foundation quid-pro-quo worries are lingering, will be exploited in general "

@washingtonpost and the DNC hosting joint "unlisted" fundraising party.

The DNC and Hillary Campaign directly coordinated on messaging for the Hillary Victory Fund.

My brother has 4 girls, all are ardent Democrats, the apple fell far from the tree there, anyway, all 4 were Sanders supporters and all 4 have said they are not voting for a Presidential candidate this go round. If that is the case for others, HRC might be having some problems come November because there is NOTHING she can say that will sway those 4. Are they indicative of a larger issue she has?

NYT/CBS Poll: Hillary's Untrustworthy Rating Soars to 67 Percent
As we await the official rollout of Donald Trump's Vice Presidential pick (postponed by the terrorist attack in Nice, France), let's take a gander at two new national polls -- one of which Leah hit (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/leahbarkoukis/2016/07/14/new-poll-has-trump-clinton-in-dead-heat-nationally-n2192671) yesterday. A New York Times/CBS News survey confirms a trend we've been covering (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2016/07/13/wisconsin-pollstates-trendryan-on-hillary-n2192276) all week: As Americans digest the spectacle of Hillary Clinton's email scandal claims getting dismantled (http://townhall.com/tipsheet/guybenson/2016/07/06/analysis-the-fbi-directors-devastating-indictmentless-indictment-of-hillary-clinton-n2188349) by the FBI, her support has dropped noticeably. Over the course of four months, Clinton's standing has fallen from a ten-point lead to an exact tie, with Trump's level of support barely budging:

Could be. On the other hand, both my parents who have voted Republican since Goldwater have said they'd vote for Sanders if he got the nomination because they don't like Trump. I'll have to ask them if anything's changed now that Pence is in it.

I think it's going to come down to voting for who you dislike the least for this election.

It's funny... GOP should run an add about the VP pick.

"Hillary didn't want the best person for VP... she wanted a Senator from a State with a Dem Gov so they could keep a senate seat. A vote for Hillary is a Vote for someone who cares more about her party, then you."

I think Kaine was the safe pick.. and since he's pretty free from scandals.. she could use someone sort of honestish as her VP.

I do believe the far left won't like him much though, given his stances on abortion, Wall Street, guns, etc...

Yes and yes.

I'm saving my brain cells by not watching the convention but one of my far left relatives posted something on Facebook saying Sarah Silverman said: "Bernie or Bust crowd: you're being ridiculous."

So I see Hillary supporters are now literally bullying people into supporting her.

And earlier today this same relative posted a video with the cast from Orange is the New Black going on and on about how it's time we voted for Hillary because...well because she has a vagina. No. I'm not even making this shit up. And they were very heavily implying that if you're a woman and you don't support Hillary then you should be ashamed.

Can Hillary actually win on the issues? Didn't Sanders go ape shit a few times telling people to stick to the issues and stop this nonsense? Where are these convictions now that people are bullying people into voting for Hillary? OH RIGHT! He's on stage throwing his support behind Hillary too.

I wonder what position the Democrats offered Sanders for him to sell his soul.

Black holes are some of the strangest and most fascinating objects found in outer space. They are objects of extreme density, with such strong gravitational attraction that even light cannot escape from their grasp if it comes near enough.

Albert Einstein first predicted black holes in 1916 with his general theory of relativity. The term "black hole" was coined in 1967 by American astronomer John Wheeler, and the first one was discovered in 1971.

There are three types: stellar black holes, supermassive black holes and intermediate black holes.

The DNC suppressed and oppressed Bernie supporters until they can't take it any more. Now, it's time for payback..

The Bernies have set up tent cities throughout Philadelphia as hubs of protest. At one tent city in North Philadelphia, a plot has been hatched to feed all of the Bernie-supporting delegates who visit the camp lots of baked beans before they go into the arena, so that they can unleash a methane wrath on everyone else. This plan is called “The Fart-In.”

More... (https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/the-dream-dies-hard-for-the-bernie-or-bust-crowd-and-it-stinks/2016/07/25/f7cea2aa-5293-11e6-b7de-dfe509430c39_story.html)

The thing the Bernies would like to convey is that the Bernies are bigger than Bernie, who is also bigger than himself. Bernie, here in Philadelphia, is an ideal. That ideal is a bright light in a world that is chaotic and depressing. “Capitalism as an idea is unsustainable,” says a man named Xander, as he sits in the grass outside of a third tent city. (At this tent city, journalists are asked to prove they are not policemen by eating a non-GMO peach, for reasons that are unclear because at this point our notes just read, “Guy without beard says, ‘A Snickers bar does not equal the Taj Mahal.’” Peach eaten.)

Back to Xander: “Before we turned things into commodities, there were just leaves, and feathers and wood. And then some enterprising person came and chopped down a tree and turned it into a chair and decided it cost $8.”

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - About 50 Bernie Sanders supporters protesting before the Democratic National Convention on Monday sat down in a roadway until city officials agreed to remove Mississippi's state flag, which includes the Confederate battle emblem.

Philadelphia's first deputy managing director, Brian Abernathy, said the flag and another one nearby were removed Monday evening. He said the city started to receive complaints from residents after the flags recently went up as part of reinvigoration efforts on Broad Street, where the flags of all 50 states fly from light poles, ahead of the convention.

"The Confederate flag raises strong feelings in our city and across the country," Abernathy said.

The people protesting the flag, which is viewed by many blacks as a symbol of slavery, were part of a group of hundreds marching toward the arena hosting the convention. Police told the marchers they weren't allowed to climb the pole and take the flag down. The crowd heckled the officers, telling them to think for themselves.

DWS should've been kicked out long ago. Her resignation was warranted for her conduct as DNC chair. Emails forced it.

However, her resignation has nothing to do with the issue of whether those emails were released by Russian intelligence to Wikileaks. You need to work on your logic skills.

After Putin's recent push of asymmetrical warfare (even to the point of having Russian military beat up British soccer fans) I don't find it entirely out of the realm of possibility that the former campaign manager of his friend/former pawn Yanukovych (who's now the campaign manager of Donald Trump) has talked to Putin/Russian intelligence. Yeah, again, I'm missing the conversation that the rest of us don't see apparently. I thought that commercial was an amusing spin on it though I obviously appreciate the original. I'm hoping that Virginia legalizes it so we can sell marijuana as well as alcohol.

I'm not saying Russia doesn't concern me, they do. I'm just far more concerned about another Clinton presidency, especially after the revelations of Servergate/Clinton Foundation/DNC corruption than Russia meddling by exposing the people behind the curtains. If that means having Trump as POTUS for 4 or 8 years then so be it.

I think you're purposefully ignoring other stuff from an understandable hatred for Hillary Clinton. Were this race Sanders versus Johnson I might see is as solely a battle of ideals. It isn't.

I especially like the part where the lyrics say "And I don't really care if nobody else believes", because of the implied additional "because I'mma win this bitch even if I have to rig the voting machines on election day".

Also, Hillary's campaign has so far raised 374.4 million dollars according to the google. Couldn't she have gotten you know...slightly higher than D-List celebrities? Perhaps they're saving that for sweeps.

I've been hearing Nina Turner had her credentials removed last night for speaking about corruption in the DNC. Her video segment, as well as Rosario Dawson's, was removed from Sander's pre-speech video too.

Though Turner has yet to make any public statement on the situation at this hour, Common Dreams communicated with a source close to Turner who confirmed that her credentials had been taken away. Though postings on social media indicated Turner was punished "for criticizing DNC corruption," those claims could not be independently verified. The DNC has yet to make any official statement on the matter.

The source, familiar with some of the details but not authorized to discuss them, said the DNC also cut Turner and another prominent and effective surrogate, actress Rosario Dawson, from the promotional video that aired just before Sanders' remarks during Tuesday's roll call. Sanders reportedly fought the moves, but was not able to overturn the decision.

Dems become 1st major party to back a path to legalizing marijuana

What Democratic National Platform says on marijuana

“Because of conflicting federal and state laws concerning marijuana, we encourage the federal government to remove marijuana from the list of ‘Schedule 1’ federal controlled substances and to appropriately regulate it, providing a reasoned pathway for future legalization. We believe that the states should be laboratories of democracy on the issue of marijuana, and those states that want to decriminalize it or provide access to medical marijuana should be able to do so. We support policies that will allow more research on marijuana, as well as reforming our laws to allow legal marijuana businesses to exist without uncertainty. And we recognize our current marijuana laws have had an unacceptable disparate impact in terms of arrest rates for African-Americans that far outstrip arrest rates for whites, despite similar usage rates.”

As far as "don't we already have enough high people?", it's such a laughable retort, as if we should say fuck it let people go to prison for a plant that is less harmful than alcohol. The one that gets harped on the most is kids getting into edibles. The doctors have no idea what's wrong so they intubate the kids and put them on IVs until they come out of it or realize what's going on. It's a legitimate concern, bad parenting and non-life threatening situations aside.

Car accidents and driver fatalities are another issue, though more controversial depending on the means of determining whether those involved were actually high on the drug or simply had it in their system.

I feel like I have said many times that our current system of some things being illegal and not others involves an arbitrary level of danger, as we agree that everything can be dangerous. This is why I have also said many times the specific numerical level of danger posed by marijuana, and ascertained the specific numerical level of danger posed by other common comparisons. Nobody cares about numbers. These things happen.

I don't think its arbitrary. Well except in the case of marijuana. Marijuana sure doesn't have the same effects as heroin or cocaine, but yet marijuana is classified as the same type of drug even after some medical benefits are becoming more evident.

I don't think its arbitrary. We have agreed that everything can be dangerous. Given that, it is literally not possible for some things to be legal and others not unless we establish an arbitrary level of danger as illegal.

I have claimed in the past and am comfortable continuing to claim that it is worse than every currently legal drug except tobacco, therefore both it and tobacco should be illegal.

This is only because you love alcohol and give it a nonsensical rationalization because of that. You also purposefully ignore all the secondary effects of the "War on Drugs" because taking them into consideration is too non ivory tower.

I still don't think its all arbitrary, it is based on usefulness as well. Driving cars is probably the most dangerous, but they are extremely useful so they are made legal with barely any restrictions.

Are you comparing Valium and aspirin here? While I agree that every drug has negative effects, I think that people should be able to make their own decisions about how they want to effect their own health. Do you also believe that most items on fast food menus should be illegal? Should food have a maximum calories allowed per serving?

Umm.. We've got multiple states that legalized and there are other countries legalized. No problems there. In fact there has been tons of positives. Less kids smoking, less people popping pills, medicare expenses down, tax revenue skyrocketing, schools being built, better education programs being put out. If we were going to see negative results why haven't we seen any yet?

For the record I have never said there are 0 consequences to cannabis and I'm pretty sure we've already been over this.

I do love how you can't read your own words.

I said that there was negative consequences to legalizing it. You said there were no problems. Now you say you never said there was 0 consequences.

So.. which is it... Are there NO PROBLEMS to legalizing it... or are there consequences?

I am sure you with your IQ equal to OJ can find at least ONE news article that has shown a negative effect of the legalization of Pot in just CO for example. Which.. btw... it isn't legal there. Just like a State can't Ban Abortion, a State can't Legalize Pot. The Federal government has just so far failed to enforce the law.
