View Full Version : GOP Elites Attack Trump's Wife

There seems to be a concerted effort by elite Republicans to attack Donald Trump's wife. Big mistake.

Liz Mair, a Republican strategist whose anti-Trump super PAC Make America Awesome launched the Facebook campaign last week, said each ad is expected to reach around 10,000 Mormons of voting age a day. The goal is twofold: increase turnout among LDS voters, and urge them to strategically consolidate around Ted Cruz, who is close to the 50% winner-take-all threshold in Utah.

The group is running three ads: one that features Mitt Romney, one that emphasizes Trump’s past support for pro-choice policies, and a third that shows Melania Trump posing nude. The Melania ad, which is by far the most provocative, invites viewers to meet “your next first lady.” Mair said that one is being promoted on Instagram as well, but only to LDS women.

The theory is that Mormon women don't like other women who are prettier than they are. This is yet more proof that Mormons are odd.

Romney piled on with this..

“Donald Trump has had several foreign wives. It turns out that there really are jobs Americans won’t do,” Romney reportedly quipped at the annual dinner hosted by the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

Democrats have been just as bad on this front. It's disgusting slut shaming, and it has no business in politics.

I don't know what would be worse... having a pres whose wife posed nude....

or a pres whose Husband sexually assaulted multiple women.

Trump fires back, wailing and gnashing of teeth soon follow:

Steve Deice: This photo was just tweeted out by Donald Trump. All of you still supporting this knuckle dragger just unfriend and unfollow me now. We are done.

Cruz Supporter: Is there any way we can get him indicted for cyber bullying which is a crime? Can we pressure Twitter to shut down his account? Or can the Cruz campaign press charges? This POS needs to be stopped. He's psychotic.

Mind you, Cruzers are the ones that started taking punches at the wives. This is why I as a Christian refuse to vote for an evangelical, statists on steroids.

Wasn't it a superPAC that started it? One not even affiliated with Cruz?

I mean, it's not like that makes a big difference in the long run, but saying Cruz started it is like saying Hillary is Honest.

"Not affiliated."

It was retweet. Retweets don't count. Trump has explained many times that a retweet is not an endorsement. It's just like when the newspaper quotes somebody.

The only thing that would make this classier is if they got their wives to jello wrestle it out.

I suppose if you want to believe the whole superPAC's are just rich people with nothing better to do than piss money away bit.

Hell I don't even care, only reason I'm supporting Trump is because it's just to damn funny not to and it's pissing the RNC off. If they would have just backed Ron Paul in 2012, instead of ripping off the movement and blackballing him like they are Trump, none of this would be happening to the RNC. For many of us this is payback for 2012 nothing more.

The Democratic Party appears to be working hard to catch up to the Republican Party's clown show. The parallels between the Tea Party formation from a few years back, and the rise of Bernie Sanders today, should be evident to anyone. If you're a Democratic Party big wig, you should be well aware of the risks of continuing to blackball someone with populist support. It doesn't matter if they get elected or not, it's that if you aren't open and at least somewhat objective and supportive, your base fractures and all hell breaks loose.

The one lesson that party operatives from both parties should be taking home is that the populace is not happy with the status quo. How that's playing out is different in each party, but the one thing that is clear is that business as usual is not satisfactory.

These meltdowns are becoming delicious:

Steve Deice: So far six people have unfriended me. Thank you. All others supporting this knuckle-dragger Trump for the highest office in the world, please follow suit. I no longer have any tolerance for your tolerance for his total depravity. You aren't welcome here. Anything defending him in my timeline or on this page is basically voluntary self-deletion.

Haha, yeah, there was a certain GS player that unfriended someone from her FB for being a Trump supporter. I unfriended her just for the sake of her shallowness. She is probably standing out in the street blocking cars "protesting" Trump now.

I think it's great to see. If anything, getting more people to vote is the best to come out of all this. Really we only have ourselves to blame for being so disconnected and not doing our duty as citizens, that being, keeping our Rep's as scared as hell of the populace as possible.

So I have been patiently waiting to pull the trigger at the right time and this just happened:

Steve Deice: If Trump gets to offer to post bail for his Cult Thugs that beat up protesters, how about taking up a collection to help Cruz post bail after he punches Trump in the mouth? (this is still him venting about the wife wars)

Cruz got Angry today and called Trump a "sniveling coward." In response to the next question, Cruz said of course he would support Trump if he was the nominee. I can't finD a good embeddable video. You'll have to Google it for yourself. I will say that it smells Muskie (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/frenzy/muskie.htm).
