LOL @ Trump's lawyers. I think they got their defense plan from reading posts by our resident Trump apologists on the PC!

Do you seriously think he is going to be convicted in this unconstitutional farce?

They should just vote on disqualification since its a simple majority and be done with it.

They have to convict before they can vote on that. They can't just hand down punishment without finding him guilty first.

It could happen. I'm just satisfied all the evidence is in public and the votes will show where people stand.

Unlike removal, disqualification from office is a discretionary judgment, and there is no explicit constitutional linkage to the two-thirds vote on conviction. Although an argument can be made that disqualification should nonetheless require a two-thirds vote,855 the Senate has determined that disqualification may be accomplished by a simple majority vote.856

Yes, it says that the conviction is still required first, just that it doesn’t need a 2/3 vote like the conviction did.

Hulk Hogan could show up at the last minute and leg drop everybody too.

He asked what you think is going to happen, not what could happen.

But I'm pretty sure you knew that and know he's not getting convicted.

Everyone who isn't brain dead already knows what happened..

Dumb people did dumb things and Democrats, never wanting to let a crisis go to waste, jumped at the chance to redefine "peacefully" as code for coup.
