Don’t you think it would have been better to start the trial “next month” exhaust all of Trumps delays, so the trial would actually happen early/mid 2024? That would be the logical thing to do, to hurt Trump the most.

Correction. The DA did not ask for a specific trial date, which has not been set anyway, nor did the DA ask for a specific date for pre-trial motions to be completed, which was set for December 4, 2023.
