Wait.. you believe that the reason minorities don't vote enough for your liking is because they are too busy at work to do so?

Everyone knows minorities don't have ID's, have never heard of the internet and wash dishes 18 hours a day.

It's a class issue -- the poor have less job flexibility, and so more difficulty, getting time off to vote. It affects the poor of all races, however, the poor are disproportionately non-white. And efforts to get them access to voting (i.e., letting people vote the weekend right before the election) have been curtailed repeatedly by Republicans for explicitly discriminatory purposes.

SCOTUS upheld the striking down of North Carolina's blatantly discriminatory law in May of this year.

Thus the asserted justifications cannot and do not conceal the State’s true motivation. “In essence,” as in League of United Latin American Citizens v. Perry (LULAC), 548 U.S. 399, 440
(2006), “the State took away [minority voters’] opportunity because [they] were about to exercise it.”"

That's only one example. Same thing with Texas' blatantly discriminatory law - that's still in the process, but has been ruled by the same 4th circuit twice now as blatantly discriminatory.

Your party's nationwide efforts to suppress minority turnout are comically transparent. Odds that you'll recognize it as such? Probably zero. You're welcome to prove me wrong, though.

So you are going to make the poor take a day off, giving them even less time to make money?

You do know private business's don't have to offer holidays, most of these business's are where poor people work.

Or do you want to force business's to pay their employees for this day off?

Smart dumb fuckers need to stop thinking they represent the poor, it's about as racist as one can be.

Most states have laws to allow time off to vote. If your state does not, then go after the state. This is a made up issue. Even in this last election when lines were very long in my district, it didn't take 2 hours to vote and they held the polls open very late to allow everyone a chance to vote.

Interesting that I find at least 6 dominate blue states, most of which are in the Northeast, that don't have these laws.

Imagine that . . . and on a union website no less.

With some guy yelling there can be only one. The name calling playing gotcha and hypocrisy needs to stop. The illusion that some politician care's about you more or is better then the guy next door. Is just a lie. None of them care about none of us. We are ready to tear each other apart. They don't try and fix it. They just pour more gas on the fire. Does anyone think the way to change peoples heart's about other people. Is by calling them racist an tearing down statues? I mean really. Do you think that has won a single person over? But how many has it inflamed to hate more or even to hate where no hate existed. Its all a puppet show.
It wins people over all the time, because we are creatures of habit: we don't realize how ugly something is until someone else shines a light on it. Do you think people had never heard of racism before Martin and Malcolm? Please. It was just the way things were, and it took someone making a big scene about it for us to realize it shouldn't be anymore.

And yet here we are with abolitionism, women's rights, civil rights, etc. etc. For people who don't win arguments, it's odd how they manage to get their way every single time.

Eating meat like that. No statues for any of them!" But that would be stupid because it's just the way modern society is at the moment. It doesn't make us necessarily "wrong" for eating meat, just different.
Spoiler alert. People are going to look back at us and say we were wrong. Because we are. That's how progress works:
Nobody was for interracial marriage in 1860.
    They were all wrong.
But some of them were at least for not enslaving other races.
    So they were less wrong.

Nobody was for Einstein's mechanics in 1860.
    They were all wrong.
But some of them were at least for Newtonian mechanics.
    So they were less wrong.

Once you give up on the idea that you can never appear to be wrong, it's really easy. I hope you get there someday, but you probably won't. These are the breaks.
