Russia Investigation Heating Up

A Middle East specialist with ties to Donald Trump's team attended secret meetings during the presidential transition between the United Arab Emirates and Trump associates, and is now cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller, two people familiar with the matter say.

George Nader, a low-profile diplomatic go-between who has forged close ties to the Emirates, was stopped and questioned by the FBI at Dulles International Airport in January as he returned from an overseas trip, these sources say. Since then, he has been talking to Mueller's investigators and providing information to the grand jury.

Nader attended a December 2016 meeting in New York between Emirati officials and members of Trump's inner circle, and another in January 2017 in the Seychelles islands between the Emiratis and Erik Prince, a Trump associate. Nader was also in the Seychelles when Prince met with a Russian banker, the sources said.

Erik Prince had a secret meeting with Russian officials with ties to Putin in the Seychelles Islands the day after Obama expelled Russian diplomats. From what I gather he was working with Flynn to make back channel deals between Trump and the Russians, like allowing Russians to build nuclear reactors in Saudi Arabia and possibly the UAE as well. This guy Nader was at those meeting. Price is likely to be indicted.

but I did just read that they had a warrant to image his phone. so maybe there's more going on than I'm seeing.

It also ties into trump transition making deals while Obama was still present.

Prince is one to watch. He, focus on the family guy and Dominos guy vetted and approved Palin as McCain's running mate. His dad patented the mirror in automobile sun visors and its how he made billions. Prince, the former SEAL, used that money to start up Blackwater. He is also pitching trump on using his services as a contract intelligence outfit.

Mr. Nader was first served with search warrants and a grand jury subpoena on Jan. 17, shortly after landing at Washington Dulles International Airport, according to two people familiar with the episode. He had intended to travel on to Mar-a-Lago, Mr. Trump’s Florida estate, to celebrate the president’s first year in office, but the F.B.I. had other plans, questioning him for more than two hours and seizing his electronics.

Since then, Mr. Nader has been questioned numerous times about meetings in New York during the transition, the Seychelles meeting and meetings in the White House with two of Mr. Trump’s senior advisers, Jared Kushner and Stephen K. Bannon, who has since left the administration.
