They're "combat" zones for tax purposes, but don't get combat patches or ribbons or whatever.

I'm talking actual campaign ribbons. Afghanistan, Iraq, etc. GWOT and GWOTEM are door prizes.

Service is a door prize, Expeditionary is a campaign medal. A lot of people didn't get it. Expeditionary is all there was before Iraq and Afghan Campaign medals. After they made those it was hard as fuck to get a EM.

I got (another) one when I was in Bosnia. It's 100% a door prize. Go to its wiki page and look at how many countries it can be awarded in.
