If you're mood is generally dark, if a rainy day, and for many other somber purposes I recommend The Gutter Twins.
It's 2 vocalists from 90's acts The Afghan Whigs (Greg Dulli) & The Screaming Trees (Mark Lanegan, who also is a PT vocalist in Queens of the Stone Age) and their newest effort "Saturnalia".
Highlighted tracks - "The Stations", "All Misery/Flowers", "Circle The Fringes"
Also, if you like folk/dark folk/acoustic music check out the band "Pygmy Lush" and their album "Mount Hope". Amazing stuff, also very somber/moody and well-written.
Sorry if the descriptions are much on the eyes, I am primarily a musician and work for/own an independendent record label so this is sort of my forte. Hope you enjoy.

You arrange yourself on the throne.
You attend to your gold wirework circlet, carefully smoothing the hair underneath, and adopt a regal air as you survey the area.
You think to yourself, "I got this"
