That's what I've been wondering. If I remember right, the base description before I got it altered was "a band" that I bought from one of the gemshop vendors. Either in the Landing or Northern Caravansary I think.

It can still be looted when cursed. Tested this in Platinum with droppage as well, you still drop it.

Also, they loot anything that is classified as jewelry, magic item, gems and coins. I think they can get more stuff, but "a band" from the gemshop can be looted.
