Let's not forget that there's no such thing as being "convicted" in civil court, where the threshold of "proof" is significantly lower than in a criminal case...which is where you can be "convicted."

I wonder how many people are completely unaware that most of the trash ingredients we put in our food in the US are literally banned almost everywhere else if not literally everywhere else in the world. High fructose corn syrup, yellow #5, red #3 or whatever number it is for red, all sorts of other toxic shit that literally has no reason to be in our food other than because it's cheaper for food manufacturers.

You do know the appeals process involves different judges and the original judge isn't the one who decides whether or not the case can be appealed right?

Both of these cases are in fact under appeal at the moment.
