You claimed that it has nothing to do with hard work or talent to become a billionaire. I said you were wrong and stupid and used Forbes stat to prove it.

    Looks like I was right.

Stop sucking so much dick... it's cutting off the oxygen supply to your two remaining brain cells.

    Fucking retarded loser.
i claimed it is more extreme luck than anything else and that those people didn't get where they are from just hardwork and talent like you said.

copy and pasting some text from a Forbes article doesn't in any way prove me wrong and you are very, very stupid. and old. very old and stupid.

    please stop, stop posting.

this is a strawman. you brought up unrealized capital gains and I said I don't know about the polling on that specifically. My claim was that polling for taxing the rich was popular.

I can find common ground that we should eliminate certain loopholes that allow people, including the ultra wealthy, to not pay taxes as it’s intended to be. If you start talking about wealth redistribution & Marxist ideals, you’re in the wrong country.

Actually, what you originally said was that hard work and talent had nothing to do with becoming a billionaire.

Now you're saying it isn't JUST because of hard work and talent, so you're admitting hard work and talent has something to do with it. Just admit you were wrong and are now back peddling and you're still wrong.

Everything can be seen as an advantage.

Growing up in a stable home with 2 parents can be an advantage.

Not growing up in the poorest area with the shittiest public education can be an advantage.

Having parents who busted their ass off so you could go to college is an advantage.

The question is how much do those advantages help?

Having a billionaire for a father is a much larger advantage than your mom working for NASA. This is literally the first time I've seen someone downplay how well someone has done in life because their mother worked for fucking NASA of all places.

I know this won't come as a shock to you, but you are not nearly as smart as you think you are.

Also I reject the notion that America is not a place where the opportunity to achieve wealth is out of reach even for the poor/working class or economic mobility doesn’t exist. Sure it’s not perfect, no country is, but anyone can make something of themselves if they put in the work. I am living proof of that and I’m sure there are many others on the PC who can testify to that as well.

Your victimhood mentality & lack of accountability for your life choices is what is keeping you poor. To expand on that and so you can see I am not just singling you out, I believe that I too could absolutely become a billionaire if I fully dedicated myself to achieving that goal. I don’t have that ambition, drive, and work ethic, etc. to accomplish that. That’s nobody else’s fault except my own. I’m happy with what I have accomplished and will continue to build wealth, just not at that level.

yes, i think luck has more to do with becoming a billionaire more than anything and that is my point.

those advantages obviously help a lot as can be seen by just how many people who are wealthy come from privileged backgrounds and how much easier it is to be wealthy if you have those advantages.

i'm not sure where you get that I have a victimhood mentality because I'm arguing that billionaires got where they are from a heavy dose of luck. I'm not in any way poor and my family is very well off, but you can't just become a billionaire from hard work, ambition, etc - that is fucking ridiculous. there are something like 350 million people in this country and only like 700 billionaires. you're telling me those 700 people are the only ones out of 350 million that have the work ethic to do what they've done? you're saying that if you were to give any of those other 350 million people the exact set of circumstances that those other people were placed into, they couldn't do the same thing? lol come on

This is America. Billionaires are made with ambition, hard work, etc. + a little bit of luck no doubt. If you look at any billionaire that I’ve seen like Musk, Gates, Trump, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Buffet, etc. they are all highly productive people that work their asses off. You don’t just get there by sheer luck and the majority do not inherit those kind of fortunes. They earned it. Yes if you or I had the mind, talent, skill, work ethic, etc. we too can be billionaires. This is the land of opportunity.

She is worth 1.6 billion, became a billionaire in October 2023 and then gained about 600 million since then.

Probably because she owns all her songs personally, and not the record labels, so she gets every dime for plays.

I could take or leave her music (my wife fucking loves her), but I have to admit she is an extremely shrewd businesswoman.

    It actually started with this:

you said what I quoted you said, that she and Walz ran on a progressive ticket, which they obviously didn't. read my post - I never said she lost because of her policies. what I did say is that I think she would have done better.
How about unrealized capital gains taxes, taxpayer funded sex change surgeries for retards, and price controls for food? What do you consider those to be if they're not "progressive?"

Since you know, the 3 things I listed there are most if not all of the policies she actually took a stance on that weren't just word salads that said nothing.

So no, it's not a straw man. Set polling aside and go back to my original question.

Here it is again, in case you forgot it already from 3 lines up. Take special note of how I never mentioned polling until you kept bringing it up over unrelated shit:

How about unrealized capital gains taxes, taxpayer funded sex change surgeries for retards, and price controls for food? What do you consider those to be if they're not "progressive?"

EDIT: ^ Do you consider those progressive policies? If not, then what are they?
