This is a really complex situation, and simplistic stances aren't helpful.

It's not wrong to say you want freedom for the Palestinian people. They deserve it.

But Hamas is every bit as much an occupying force in the West Bank as Israel is: they took their own territories by force. They do not represent Palestine in any capacity official or unofficial, and they're not a bunch of scrappy freedom fighters. Their mission is the eradication of Israel. So those people who are standing and cheering Palestine on for fighting back are fucking idiots who have no idea what's going on.

But also, in the US we get a VERY incomplete narrative of the whole situation to the point where it's bordering on propaganda. Most people rushing out to say "I stand with Israel" also probably have no idea what's been going on.

Israel's occupation of Palestine has been brutal- especially the last two years. 260 Palestinians had already been killed by Israeli forces and settlers this year alone, including over 40 children, before this war started. Israel and Egypt control every inch of Palestine's borders, and Israel routinely cuts off power and water to Palestine. They'll embargo medicine for weeks at a time. They are STILL rapidly creating new settlements by bulldozing Palestinian homes and refugee camps. 64% of people in Palestine live with food insecurity and about 50% live in poverty.

Personally I stand against Hamas and with the Israeli and Palestinian PEOPLE. But there are no "good guys" in this war, in my opinion. Just countless Israeli and Palestinian victims.

Palestine isn’t a nation nor have they ever been one. Why is Israel expected to be tolerant of them when the surrounding Muslim nations are not except to use them as a political tool against Israel?

No matter how you feel, the situation with Gaza is fucked up and unsustainable. Israelis are no saints but they are by far the civilized rational ones in comparison to Palestinians, who overwhelmingly support Hamas.

Needless to say that I disagree with you. I support Israel kicking them out of Gaza once and for all, like they should have done back in the Six Day War. That’s the only way they can achieve a lasting peace.

You act like Palestine was ever a country. They are Arabs. They were in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt and Syria and they all kicked them out as political tools. Then when offered their OWN country, 6 times, SIX FUCKING TIMES you fucking retard, they said no because it required allowing Israel to exist, a nation based on a people who actually DO have a history of owning and governing the region. And then, on top of that Israel has given them food, water, power, education, work and citizenship even after being turned down SIX FUCKING TIMES offering them a country. In exchange, Israel has gotten blood, rockets, crime and death. And just when we started to see a real bit of progress, Creepy Joe removes sanctions and cuts oil to fund both Russian and Iran, gives Hamas foreign aid and dumps 6 billion on Iran. Iranian leadership, being a lovely piece of shitbags that should have been decapitated in 1979 turns around and funds their proxy war and we get this.

So, after showing immense restraint after decades of rockets, murders, bombings and so on, they go way too far. The fanatic Muslim leadership in Hamas and the surrounding countries and the Leftist simp boot lickers in the Western world supporting this terrorism have got to go. And with the latest mass murders, war crimes and slaughter of children have made sure that most of the rational world doesn't give a fuck what has to happen to make that a reality. So, in the end, they decided to do this, they were pushed but they decided to do it. I am to the point, they should have held every inch of land they ever took. And they should announce something like:

You kill hostages, we will publicly execute prisoners.
If we run out of prisoners, we will start with your civilians. You think it's fun to murder, rape and butcher, you wanted a holy war, now you have one. Release all prisoners now, you have 24 hours.

Then I would run the war with no prisoner capture. They have already told the civilians to get out.

If the Palestinians lay down their weapons, there will be peace. If the Israelis lay down their weapons, there will be a massacre
