Compared to what other wars cost, in terms of American lives and what not, I’d say it’s a win and a small price to pay to protect the liberties and freedoms of a country that a tyrant is trying to wipe off the planet.
Imagine paying 60b to take out Germany in WW2, instead of the price the world paid, or 750b+ in direct spending for the Iraq war or since your brought up tax payers… over $2,000,000,000,000 the tax payers ended up paying.
Iirc almost none of it was direct money given, but equipment and what not.
