January 6th investigation, a fuel year and a half off evidence gathering and SEVERAL convictions from shared evidence given to the DOJ. Not to mention the recent charges of seditious conspiracy against the Proud Boys who setup around the capital building before Trump's speech, knowledge made public solely as a result of the January 6th committee.

The subject of the primary subject of a investigation is always the last one called, Trump's charges are coming.

By the time November rolls around the American electorate is going to be wishing that a coup actually took place on Jan. 6th.

I’m honestly surprised people even still watch the news on TV. Getting anything from the TV seems completely outdated.

A big part of the issue is nearly all the anti-gunners I have ever met have next to zero knowledge or experience with firearms. To justify the reasons they want “assault weapons” banned (that term alone is immediately a dead giveaway you don’t know shit…like calling a magazine a clip) they start talking about something they can’t even define let alone know how it performs. Outside of the rare Fudd, the gun control debate is people who have at least basic knowledge about firearms vs those who are completely ignorant on the subject. Prepare to be shocked:

Ban sales of any and all semi automatic rifles, combat shotguns and of course reinforce fully automatic sales. Make bump stocks and extended, high capacity clips a felony to possess, transport or sale.

Basically what the EU has, with ownership of semi automatic weapons to be a privilege which may be granted for specific reasons.

Bolt action rifles and other hunting or sports weapons a shall issue, but still following a background check and safety training.

I’m all for due process.

So now that Congress has spent a considerable time and millions in funding on this special committee, did they clearly connect the dots that Trump organized this “coup”? When will he be charged with insurrection? Ohh that’s right…never. Because there is no evidence.

You are just as bat shit crazy as those Qanon people saying JFK Jr. is still alive and Trump is coming back into the Whitehouse after X new date/event.

So if they haven't connected all of the "dots" 1/6th of the way through making their case, then it must mean that there is no case to be made?

So not only did they present some very clear evidence already, but this was the first session of six with half of it devoted to describing the evidence they plan on showing over the next 5 sessions. Coming to the conclusion that there's "no evidence" that Trump was as the center of this not only demonstrates an astounding level of ignorance of the available information in the public domain but also an unsettling desire to come to conclusions that are in direct contradiction to the reality of the first hearing.

Finally, Congress doesn't get to charge anyone with a crime, and the DoJs investigation (as well as the investigation in Georgia) is still ongoing. So I'm not really clear on what point you're trying to make here.
