Of course that should be done, but it's not a magic wand that can be waved and poof it's done. You are talking about years to even possibly get started on that. I also don't think abortions to be morally wrong. It should be a woman's choice what happens to her body, not the government.

What happens with cancers, necrotic tissues, pulled teeth? If it has value, it's studied, if it's worthless it is discarded. Just because a melon seed begins to sprout from my compost heap means I'm obligated to transplant and grow it. It has no objective value to me and I'd do what I want with my perceived garbage. Because you ascribe a moral value to a non-viable fetus or embryo doesn give you or your conservative friends the right to force it to term.

Why do you say that? People of wildly differing opinions should discuss all the time IMO. If you assume because someone has a very different opinion than you that it's not worth talking about, what happens if your opinion (or their opinion) is completely wrong? One of you just goes on being ignorant?

If I kill a pregnant woman is it one murder or two? Should the sentencing be different? If I stab a pregnant woman in the belly and kill her child, is it murder or just assault?
