You kind of just made my point about misinterpreting anything written put in front of you alt-right folks. You are right about one thing, politicians really don't give fuck about the collective lot of us. It's all about which groups gives more fucks, or pretends to give more fucks about our personal causes.
Bob the middle class carpenter isn't really going to get a 2% break on his taxes. However Buffy McMoneybags however will get a massive payout on his 5% stake in Home Depot and slashing of his capital gains tax rate due to his home improvement company adding a 125% mark-up on all goods his companies resells.
Don't worry though you'll be too poor to afford anything between paying for the uninsured medical costs of the meth addict and his eight children, and the televangelist who wants to sell you a weekly dose of Christ butter.
Russia has begun its assault on the Donbas region, claiming its goal was always to "liberate" Donetsk and Luhansk and that their failed attack on Kiev was merely to diminish Ukrainian military power.
Ceterum censeo Carthaginem esse delendam
Possibly the most intelligent thing I have read from you on these forums…
The thing is, while we have vastly different ideas of how to solve problems and it’s in good fun to vigorously debate on the PC, we’re all Americans and have more in common than we think. The job of a politician is to get elected, and nearly all of them will say or do just about anything to manipulate the public in order to make that happen.
I still disagree with just about everything you write. When I call you a dumb fuck tree-hugging SJW bleeding heart liberal, don’t take personal offense. Nor will I when you say I’m a white supremacist alt-right tin-hat-wearing conservative. Just know that’s the game they have setup for us.
And yet Presidents are running on the exact same platforms, just taking opposite stances.
Abolishing Abortion vs Freedom to Choose
Unimpeded right to bear arms, vs Ending gun violence by criminals
Decreasing corporate taxes for trickle down, vs increasing income of households to stimulate economy
Giant military we don't use, vs an efficient military sent everywhere
Building an ineffective wall, vs expanded visas and limited amnesty
When's the last time there's been a candidate that literally promised and delivered everything we wanted? Imagine instead having a Cheesecake Factory type approach, where we vote in our entre (President) then chose from a list of sides to order and actually be delivered? (Passing legislation via a mixture of electoral and popular vote)
Let's see, I you chose the Conservative President, but what I see here is you actually want a more moderate approach to lowering spending, taxes and avoiding pointless social regression. Wouldn't that be a better society overall instead of seeing an ineffective hairdoo who can't get anything done via an opposition congress?
