Switzerland has imposed financial restriction son Russia, something it has never done before. It also no longer allows direct flights to or from Russia to enter its airspace.

The US Department of State urges all US Citizens to leave Russia.

Yeah you really can’t trust either side.

Perfect example: remember the Ukrainian soldier who told a Russian warship to go fuck themselves? We were told by Ukraine that they were killed by the Russian warship shortly after that message. The president of Ukraine even said they would receive honors posthumously. But Russia said they didn’t kill anyone on Snake Island and instead took them as prisoners after they surrendered.

Now Ukrainian officials are saying they probably indeed were captured and are still alive.

Shit like this just makes it impossible to believe anything coming out of the country.

That is probably more because the Ukrainian Government presumed they were dead. Once the Russians took that area, they had no way of knowing. They know they are captured now and are, themselves, saying it. Of course both sides will put out propaganda, but the Ukrainian side seems closer to the truth at this point.

Awful take by Clyde. All the respect in the world for zelensky and the Ukrainian people for defending that country. There’s a chance they repel russia. A small chance, but it isn’t out of them realm of possibility.

I would love to be wrong. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the case.

Zelensky is certainly impressive. Russia would be wise resist the temptation to transform him from a global hero into a global martyr. Heroes have faults that become apparent over time, but not so martyrs.

I think they are pointing to the Azov Battalion which is Neo-Nazi and an official part of the Ukrainian national guard. It isn't a great look. I don't think the Government is though, especially not a guy who had 3 relatives killed in the holocaust, and his Grandfather who was in the Red Army fighting the Nazis.
