That is part of decorum, but you're right this isn't going anywhere. I have serious doubts that every aspect of what he does goes thru her and is ok'd by her. I think that security decisions are likely made by him.

This really shouldn't even be in question, but Democrats and the media for some reason is putting doubt in everyone's mind.

The only question is did he inform Pelosi of the police chief's request for more resources, or did he act alone and decided all by himself that more officers/National Guard troops weren't necessary.

I'm willing to bet he at least ran it by Pelosi and has now offered to be her sacrificial lamb and resign and be on his way rather than admit he at the very least ran it by Pelosi. It's not like anyone on the commission will call him in to question him about this under oath or anything.

Not every aspect, just requests for the National Guard because the police chief personally made a request for them because of threats being made on something that only happens once every 4 years and every single member of congress will be there when this all goes down. I have a feeling he at the very least said to Pelosi "Hey the police chief wants the National Guard there but I told him to pound sand."

I didn't say every thing he does has to be okay'd by her. I said she is his boss, and can direct him to do things. I don't know why this is such a difficult concept for you to grasp.
