    Default Tinnoc Thrown Weapon Box

    silver-edged white enameled box

    As described here: https://gswiki.play.net/Thrown_weapon_box

Basically you put a slab of material in it, wind it up for awhile before a hunt, and then during the hunt you get a big supply of dagger equivalent slivers to throw at things and pop into your hand from the beltworn slot of the box.

Not thinking this is worth a lot but a cool old item. Would this even be useful in today's thrown environment?

    Other Info:
Whatever slab you put in the box is what the slivers and shards will be made of, as well as having the properties of the slab. IE a vaalorn slab makes +18 daggers and darts, Rhimar would make +5 cold flaring, etc.
Not a precise measurement but 1lb of slab seems to make around 3 shard/daggers or 5 sliver/darts. The shards/slivers are not permanent, seem to last around 3-5 attacks, bending each time until snapping.

The slivers and shards have a few zesty bits. Not sure if they are unique or just on all throws weapons as I have never used em.
push sliver -You tip your palm forward, letting the vaalorn sliver fall a bit before you snatch it up between two fingers, ready to let the vaalorn sliver fly.
nudge sliver-With a fancy movement of the wrist, you set the vaalorn sliver spinning in the palm of your hand! Just as it appears to start slowing down you snatch it up, holding it in a ready position.
roll sliver- You roll the vaalorn sliver lazily across the back of your knuckles, ready to throw it at a moment's notice.
get sliver- You get your vaalorn sliver, tossing it into the air and deftly catching it in a ready position!

I've been wondering the same thing about the one I have sitting in a locker. On one hand folk no longer have to worry about losing HURLed weapons like they did when these things came out so getting more powerful weapons makes sense for thrown. On the other hand slabs are cheap enough you can just not bother retrieving the shards these make as long as you're not hunting somewhere TOO poor.

Ultimately, I'm guessing any buyers would probably want them for style points or nostalgia rather then any mechanical/QOL benefit... so they're prolly not worth a great deal unless you can get two people into a bidding war.
