When Paul Manafort walked out of Loretto Federal Correctional Institution on Wednesday, he had about four years left on his sentence. He left behind a number of inmates who weren’t as lucky as he was.

David Barren, a fellow inmate at Loretto, isn’t Paul Manafort. He’s African-American. He never worked as a powerful Republican lobbyist or the president’s former campaign manager. And he didn’t commit millions of dollars of tax fraud, violate federal lobbying rules, or commit witness tampering while awaiting trial.

Liberals are saying that because Manafort got out of a dangerous situation, black prisoners should too. That is completely wrong. Manafort was not released because he is white. He was released because he was the President's friend. Any black people who are Trump's friends can be released too.

This is what I said way back when this whole nonsense started, just this guy obviously explained it better being a lawyer and all.

It's a dangerous game when the government gets to decide whether or not you lied and can prosecute you for your perceived lies, then you throw in a "perjury trap" where they ask you a bunch of questions, write it all down, call you in next week and ask you pretty much the exact same questions and in one case you might give a slightly different answer (first time you said it happened in August, second time you said September), BOOM! Lying to FBI. Arrested.

Flynn pleaded guilty, then he withdrew his plea, something each and every single defendant is allowed to do.

Now the piece of shit judge on the case is looking into holding Flynn in contempt of court for "lying" because he changed his plea.

These Democrat piece of shit judges are out of control. This activist judge is just looking for any excuse to throw Flynn in jail and force Trump to pardon him.

Every honest and decent American should be outraged by this, so this of course leaves out most Democrats.

Nope, he was never sentenced. Not sure how federal courts handle changing pleas but most courts will allow you to change your guilty plea under certain circumstances and I like to imagine "The FBI literally fucking lied and admitted they were out to get me" would be one of those circumstances.

Well, he’s already been tried and convicted, just not sentenced... pretty sure it’s too late to change your plea... but I’m not an expert in law, so I’m not sure.

He wasn't tried and convicted, he pleaded guilty in a plea bargain.

It depends if the Judge had accepted it or not. It was not yet before the judge in this case. He can change it however he sees fit.

What's really funny is I'm pretty sure what took so long to sentence Flynn was because the judge didn't want Flynn to plea guilty if he didn't really think he was guilty, and now that Flynn has decided to change his plea now the judge wants to find him in contempt. At least that's what I heard about the whole judge not accepting his plea.

If that's true though then it's sounding more and more like the judge was looking for any reason to throw Flynn in jail, including not accepting the plea deal.
