Thread: Execution (maybe)

  1. #1

    Default Execution (maybe)

On the evening of Phoenatos the first, the Court of Ta'Illistim gathered in the Keep to judge the innocence of artist Master Paerys. He was accused of plotting to murder several ladies in the court as well as the Mirror herself. Master Paerys remained fairly silent throughout the affair, but in the end could not hold his temper and admitted his guilt before all with no remorse.

Master Paerys was found guilty and sentenced to death. The Argent Mirror has announced that the execution will take place on Volnes, Phoenatos the fifth at nine in the evening elven time outside of Ta’Illistim Keep. In her mercy, she has sent for a master swordsman so the sentence can be carried out swiftly.

I thought it was 50-50 that there would be a stay of execution, I do not think anyone actually died from the poisoning attempts.

    However:

You see Argent Mirror Myasara Illistim, her Illumination.
She is an Elf. She has large, faintly tilted grey eyes and luminous, though pale, skin. She has long, glossy auburn hair pulled back in a twisted bun set with a small silver crown. The planes of her cheekbones and the tips of her ears are both sharply slanted, giving her an angular quality.
She is wearing a slender obsidian necklace, a dark grey silk gown trimmed with ebon ribbon, a thick aureate thumb signet, and a pair of ebon silk slippers.

    >Murstyr just arrived, dragging Paerys with him.

You see Murstyr Javilerre Illistim the Lord Commander of the Sapphire Guard.
He appears to be an Elf.
He is tall. He appears to be aged. He has hazel eyes and fair, though lined, skin. He has cropped, slightly wavy chestnut hair gilded with silver. He has a straight nose and broad shoulders. His chin is sharply pointed.
    He is in good shape.
He is wearing a beveled veil iron fillet, a sapphire wool cape, a sapphire leather harness with a veil iron claidhmore strapped to it, a suit of veil iron plate and mail set with a single sapphire enameled pauldron, a wide steel ring, and some veil-iron plated boots.

    >You see Paerys Velethuil Loenthra.
He appears to be an Elf.
He is considerably shorter than average and has a scrawny physique. He appears to be in the meridian of life. He has rheumy amber eyes and pallid skin. He has wavy, coarse aureate hair framing his face and shoulders in a thickly layered mane. He has an oblong face, a straight nose and an upswept pointed ears, the tips of which point out from his hair.
    He is in good shape.
He is wearing a high-neck pleated silk shirt with wide cuffs, a pair of thick black iron manacles, some frayed granite-hued breeches, a heavy iron ball and chain with an ankle cuff, and some faded cerulean silk shoes.

    >Myasara nods at Aeriadrn.

You see Lord Aeriadrn Ghaeriden Illistim the Seneschal of Ta'Illistim Keep.
He appears to be an Elf.
He is tall. He appears to be aged. He has small, flinty grey eyes and pale skin. He has shoulder length, thick platinum hair tucked neatly behind his ears. He has an angular face and a sharp, pointed chin.
    He is in good shape.
He is wearing a small silver pin, a fitted silver-on-blue brocade cotehardie, an enameled silver signet ring, a thin silver hip-belt, some argent silk hosen, and some gilt-heeled blue leather shoes.

    >Aeriadrn recites:

"Paerys, you have been found guilty of assault on members of the Court and city. You have also been found guilty of conspiring to murder Argent Mirror Myasara Illistim, her Illumination, Head of House Illistim, Monarch of the Illistimi People, Defender of Ta'Illistim and Keeper of Knowledge."

    >Aeriadrn recites:

"For these crimes, you have been sentenced to die by having your head severed from your body."

    >Paerys folds his hands behind his back.

    >Ntyre shoves Paerys to his knees.

    You see Ntyre.
He appears to be an Illistim Elf.
It is difficult to properly see his features as the dark cotton hood of his robe is pulled down over his face.
    He is in good shape.
He is holding a wide vaalorn beheading sword in his right hand.
He is wearing a dark cotton robe, a small dark pouch, a pair of leather breeches, and some black leather boots.

    >Aeriadrn recites:

"Do you have any final words?"

    >Paerys recites:

"See now - how your Mirror treats the plight of Elvenkind. Our people are rewarded with an Alliance by those who would inevitably betray them. I have no regrets."

    >Paerys says, "Do it."

    >Ntyre grabs Paerys' head and lowers it to the block before taking a step back.

    >Aeriadrn recites:

"May the Patrons guide your path swiftly to the Gate."

    >Ntyre lifts his sword high above his head before dropping it downward with a single, mightly blow.

    >Paerys slumps over, severed head rolls a few times on the ground before it stills - the head twitches gruesomely, his bloodied lips spasming in his death throes, as he stares hatefully into the crowd before going still.

    >As the head rolls away from the body, you are splattered with droplets of blood.
