I would be more sympathetic if he had said from the beginning "It was 35 years ago, fuck off!" But he couldn't have done that because then he would be defending Kavanaugh in a roundabout way, can't have that!
Instead he apologized for being in the picture and now his staff is saying he's going to say he isn't either person in the picture and it was a mistake by whoever put together the yearbook.
