Edit to add: Also I can't watch that right now, but I'm guessing they mention the super pasty whiteness of it all? New York is one of the most culturally diverse cities in America, and all those 90s sitcoms, Seinfeld, Friends, et cetera, were all just suuuuuper white for a long amount of time.
