This was Borral at 4 I think. Survived with 1 HP left, though he later fell to a hill troll at 6.A forest troll swings a cudgel at you!
AS: +201 vs DS: +0 with AvD: +18 + d100 roll: +67 = +286

Flesh ripped from your back, muscles exposed.
You are stunned for 2 rounds!

You struggle against the dull feeling of the stun but cannot shake it!
You are beginning to feel a little fatigued.

You are still stunned.

Focusing on your bloodlust, you shake yourself out of the stun!

The redness fades from the world and you begin to breathe harder.
I am not doing hardcore but at 28 dying to an arch wight is freaking ridiculous nerf 917 for critters Unless of course it was user error but still it's not right

I’m still working on the formatting and parameters, but essentially it is who can take the biggest hit from a given damage type and still survive the encounter. Feedback is encouraged.

Not to mention they reduced the potency of 917 from creatures under a certain level range(25 I think). But old vs new it's just like spike thorn, your either going to be oh man I survived that or insta-death. But back on topic. Great seeing the new achievement and I look forward to seeing some big hits being taken.
I remember reading that, but in practice I never noticed a difference. Wights regularly one-shotted my characters (even ones 20+ levels above them) when I hunted their areas.
Boil, along with other insta-death maneuvers, stacking RT, and disarm mechanics, is firmly in the No Fun Allowed category.
You had better pay your guild dues before you forget. You are 113 months behind.
Creatures need to be able to kill us. I'm not sure what the best method is for them doing so and we still finding the fun. Stacked into RT and being slowly pecked to death isn't too much more fun than being 1 shotted by a 101 endroll and a flare, or Earthen Fury'd. I guess an ideal situation revolves around risk mitigation. When you fail to mitigate that risk largely due to negligence on your part, you are typically given an opportunity with a mid-high % chance to escape death.
