Though it hardly seems like it as many still slog through the snow and ice, springtime is almost upon Elanthia. In just a few weeks, join the House of the Argent Aspis as we celebrate the arrival of spring in Ta'Vaalor! All are invited to join the fun and we hope to meet many new faces!

Rainbow Hunt - 3/18 at 3pm Eastern, Outside the Legendary Rest Inn
Spring rains bring flowers, sure; but more importantly, they bring rainbows! Find out how you can pitch in with Argent Aspis at 3pm Elven outside Ta’Vaalor’s famed Legendary Rest Inn.

Flower Arrangement contest - 3/18 at 6pm Eastern, Amaranth Court
Come express your creative side with Argent Aspis and the flowers of spring! Some flowers will be provided but feel free to forage and shop for other items to make your arrangement shine! (OOC Note: This will be a free-RP style event where you present your creations with ACT and SMILE)

Siegery Tourney - 3/19 at 4pm Eastern, at Kai’s Statue
Join Aspis with a siegery contest open to all! Siege minis will be provided and the winner will enjoy a 250k purse in addition to the acclaim of victory!

Fishing Derby - 3/19 at 6pm Eastern, Ta’Vaalor Docks
Enjoy the great outdoors and tour the town all at once! With derby stations around town, teams of two compete to catch, fillet, and cook the most fish in one hour! Prizes will be awarded for catching the most fish and the fattest!

Dart Contest - 3/19 at 8pm Eastern, House Aspis Tent outside the Malwith Inn
A good old fashioned darts contest, socialize and test your one-handed archery skill! Drinks and darts will be provided!

House Raffle - 3/19 at 9:30pm Eastern, King’s Court
House Aspis is pleased to present a raffle for a fine 7x perfect warsword at the close of our Spring Rises in the East fest! Winner does not have to be present to win, but does need to be somewhere in the lands. A House Officer will contact you to deliver your win -- Good luck!

General Open House Meeting - 3/20 at 10:30pm Eastern, House Aspis Embassy in Ta’Illistim’s Seethe Naedal
All are invited to our member meeting at the House Embassy in Ta’Illistim. Any wishing to learn more about Argent Aspis are welcome to attend.

Reminder bump and important update on the raffle!

Unfortunately, our House Wizard estimates that our 7x perfect warsword will not be ready in time for this weekend's raffle, and will be delayed several weeks. House Aspis regrets this delay, and will provide a certificate to the winner of our raffle for delivery of the warsword as soon as it is ready! If the raffle winner prefers not to wait, we will refund their ticket and select a new winner from those assembled just after the raffle.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

Haha...having the same issue with Pereus' plate I'm enchanting for him.

The recent enchant changes were cool for the most part, but...unless you hunt full-time, your temper times went WAY up.

I don't think temper time increases are a function of the enchanting changes directly, but more as a result of more wizards being dusted off and increasing the total quantity of projects.

ETA: I know basically nothing about wizards and enchanting so I am glad to hear that there's more of an explanation than just "we boned it up, sry"

Oh, I agree completely.

To clarify my position...I heard talk that water lore would affect temper times in the new system, so I retrained my pocket enchanters for water lore. I did NOT expect the XP requirement. I was in the middle of the aforementioned project for Pereus, and my first temper after the changes jumped from 11 days to 15.

This is certainly a function of more people enchanting, not the changes themselves making temper times longer. Regardless of exact causation, end result is the same.
