Has anyone tried the fully unlocked mechanical crossbows on a gnome? Don't they get some sort of bonus when cocking a crossbow? Wondering if it may apply here. I may have to consider switching my gnome to a crossbow from a longbow, if that's the case.

They updated the crossbows so that they only have a 2 second cock time for large and 1 second for light.

Would be my guess. They're saturating the shit out of the enhancive market. Keeping it closed part of the time is more of an incentive to save scrip for the next run, I'd wager. Some items are 1 time only, and limited for purchase.

It's mostly automated but I'm guessing they still have someone watching over runs just to make sure nothing goes awry.
