From what I've seen it is a very small minority of Indigs (New word!) that are against the name.
I made sure to check on http://www.rsdb.org/race/native_americans and Indigs isn't on there, so it is good to call them that, right?

If 90% don't care, it isn't an issue. I don't recall saying people are in favor of it, I recall stating that most Indigs aren't bothered by it.
The ESPN article is especially good if you bother to read it.
