So because sometimes people have made poor spending decisions we should stuff our fingers in our ears and not make spending decisions that help people. Got it. It's definitely a theory. It just isn't a very effective one.

If a system like what the VA uses could reduce our country's healthcare costs as a whole we could do a whole lot more to cut spending. But you're not really devoted to that.

No, I am saying your 48 million.. 12 million at least of those are not Americans, and therefore really shouldn't be used. Which really makes it 36 million uninsured people. If you are somehow trying to say that we should insure everyone illegal or not, then we may as well offer free healthcare to the entire fucking world.

You're a liberal. Therefore you're gay, lazy, don't work, watch the Kardashians all day, hate white people, your mother wants to be a man, and your father wants to be a woman and one day you will marry your dog.

    Golly that was easy.

LOL. You mean where all the workers at the VA are employees of the Government? Yeah, I am sure that will go over great.. Right up the Left's alley. make every single healthcare profession in the country an government worker.

I am saying you are making such a huge stinking deal about the money issue here when you don't seem to give 2 shits about how the government spends and wastes far more of our money, but I guess that point seems to escape you. Even if you doubled Tgo's number of 43bil that is still nowhere close to the money being made in this country in a year by the people.

You've already heard my take on this, ACA should have been a single payer system, and you've never given a good reason why it wasn't done that way. You've said it is because the Republicans wouldn't help, but ACA was passed without any votes from them. So looking at it, it would be like me saying we need to build a bridge going from A to B to cross a river and because you said you wouldn't help instead I go and build a bridge from spot C to D that leads to nowhere.

ACA seems to be like beer for liberals, you drink it to feel good but it doesn't address any of the real underlying problems.

I really don't? That's funny. How far back do you have to go to find a conservative Republican President? They don't exist. It's like Socrates looking for an honest man. Whine all you want, all I have to look back to is Bill Clinton.

All the Republican "cut spending" talk is bullshit. It has been my entire life. Look at this thread. We have all of you arguing for both higher healthcare costs and not worrying about 43 billion dollars. And you're riding along to make the system worse so people spend more money. It's like the government shutdown. That sure saved money!

We can never cut spending, Dems wouldn't let anyone, even if they wanted to.

Also, are you calling Clinton a Republican conservative?

So why exactly didn't Bush cut spending when he had both houses of Congress and the Presidency?

I'm saying that "Republican conservatives." don't exist any more (other than Ron Paul, and you banned him from the convention.) The Tea Party are a bunch of self aggrandizing jokes.

Who has ever argued for higher healthcare costs? Lay off the drugs, they're bad for you

If I thought Obamacare was going to magically solve that 43 billion dollar "problem" then I'd be all for it. Simple fact of the matter is it won't. A lot of the uninsured are going to be on Medicaid which means we're all still paying for it. A lot of people still won't get health insurance. Yet another significant portion of the uninsured will be in very bad health and if you think what they pay in premiums will cover their own healthcare costs then you are smoking some good shit.

How people think adding a bunch of sick and unhealthy people into the system is going to lower everyone's healthcare costs is beyond me.
