Life would be very different if only those who could afford it had access to their own hospitals, police, fire departments, roads, bridges, safe water, broadcast radio and television, to name a few things. Society is in a great place. Best it has ever been in the history of everything ever of all time.

He claimed or real goal is to be a freeloader which makes it funny when he's judgmental about entitlements or people who receive them.

I think we can all agree that the taxes we pay for a strong military to protect our people and nation is worth it. The military even equally protects those who pay less taxes than others, people who don't pay taxes, and people who cheat on taxes.

Why wouldn't healthcare for all citizens be considered a good thing for our people and nation?

Whoever said healthcare for all citizens would be a bad thing?

Except we're not all chipping in and not all of our lives are going to be better, so explain that away please.

I thought I did with the military reference. The military protects everyone regardless of their tax situation. Affordable healthcare for all citizens keeps our citizens healthy which can only be a good thing in the long run for all of us. If you are a person with a healthy lifestyle and are lucky not to have an accident or contract a deadly health related condition you are still better off than the alternative. If you are unlucky and have an accident or contract a deadly health related condition you will have access to affordable healthcare. It's a win win.

Of course you can come up with exceptions to any rule but it really is for all of our benefit. One day we will look back and think about how we lived without it.

Here's the post I quoted in this very thread that is about Obamacare that mentioned nothing about military:

And here's the post you quoted, that mentioned only healthcare:

So in case you still aren't able to figure it out, the question I asked in response to your post that was in response to a post about healthcare was in the context of healthcare, not military.

And in case you're confused on what that post said, I'll quote myself just to make it easier on you, so that you may properly respond to my post in the context of healthcare as was originally intended instead of military, especially considering that it's an apples and oranges thing to begin with:

When I said, "we all chip in to make all our lives better", and you say "except for those who don't and those it won't", you are doing nothing more than raising a very general exception to very general statement. There really is nothing to respond to. Plus I disagree that it won't make everyone's lives better. A healthier nation is good for everyone.
