After all, there is no need to elect a republican to do what a democrat is doing already.
Interesting perspective. I'll have to mull this. Thanks for the clarification.

Why do people make the claim that Obama is really a Republican which is why Republicans hate him?

Why do Democrats love Obama if he's such a Republican? You guys can't have it both ways.

I don't know why republicans hate him so much. It doesn't make any sense. He is a moderate and people like that. Most of us really are moderates but the fringes make all the noise.

Contrary to the conventional wisdom about our highly polarized nation, the study finds that the right and left are much smaller than we have been led to believe, and the middle is much larger. Not only does a political center exist, it represents a majority of American voters – 51 percent – who are passionate, persuadable, and very real. In addition, the study reveals that the current U.S. Congress doesn’t come close to representing the actual ideological landscape of the country, and more than a third of those in the center feel like no one in Washington is expressing their point of view.

This survey of more than 2400 people is distinctly bipartisan. It was conducted using an extraordinarily large sample size, and cutting-edge polling and analytical techniques, by Benenson Strategy Group (headed by Joel Benenson, lead pollster for Obama in ‘08 and ’12) and Neil Newhouse of Public Opinion Strategies (the lead pollster for Romney ’12.)

My "please" was more directed towards the obvious Democrats who have their lips firmly planted against Obama's backside. Back is a good example.

I would love it if there were 3 solid political parties ... if one happens to get the majority, then kudos ... otherwise, two parties will have to compromise and work together as a majority coalition That would be amazing to observe in Congress.

The last real chance of that is now the anti soda guy in everybody's mind because of the conservative media.

We have his healthcare plan (stolen from Republicans). We have two wars (brought by Republicans.) We have the economic recovery measures (just like the Republican SNL bailout and in response to the Bush Presidency). We have SNAP (In its current form because of two Republican bills).

I'd think this stuff would be pretty obvious. I know the Republicans think that under a Republican President the car companies would have been allowed to die, but I doubt Romney actually would have done that.

Well stated. I was under the impression that Bush bailed out Detroit near the end of his Presidency. No?
