Oddly enough, I am REGULARLY mistaken for a female in person, and despite my hair, I do not look particularly feminine. My best friend once told me "you aren't ugly, but you would make a hell of an ugly woman". Apparently Occam's Razor says "ugly woman" is simpler than "man with long hair".
