My nightmare tonight involved me being one of the only survivors of a horrific plane crash and being pursued by a very angry personification of Death (Death was an extraordinarily fat woman with scary as fuck demonic eyes trying to rip into my car and screaming at me that I was supposed to die and I'm going to die.. like I said, wtf brain).
I can't believe I'm saying this but... I'll take the dinner-plate sized spiders. One of these days I'm going to learn to lucid dream and just carry a flamethrower with me at all times for those spiders!

I've grown to not care about spiders. In the Peace Corps, they were the only ones who didn't look at me like I was an alien, and they killed the fucking mosquitos which were as big as my thumbnail.

Spiders IRL don't bother me. Humongous dream spiders that are crawling all over your room and in your bed are an entirely different matter, IMO.
Also I have scary dreams about typically harmless bugs like massive butterflies or enormous ladybugs. It has less to do with the bug itself being bad and more that my mind gloms on to bugs as nightmare fuel.
