Good point. Just dissapointing for us. Why put in the offer at all if you're not serious?

It is disappointing, yeah. Happened to me when I sold my house, too. For whatever reason, the offer they submitted wasn't acceptable to you. You wouldn't have sold it for that price/terms, so you countered. Their decision not to accept doesn't mean counteroffering was a mistake; it means that you have a bottom line and their offer didn't meet it. Don't worry ... it'll sell!

I learned haggling on the streets of China and Hong Kong, and after trying to apply those rules to haggling in the US I can say that it seems like Americans don't understand the point of haggling for the most part. People get pissed off at a counter offer and walk away, when they could instead submit a counter offer of their own and potentially get the price they wanted. I don't understand why people take it personal and walk away from the negotiation without returning a counter offer. But who knows... maybe they found a more attractive home, or maybe they're simply debating their counter offer for a day and playing the game of making you wait for it.

    Step 1: Preheat grill

    Step 2: Boil water

    Step 3: Start cutting veggies.

Step 4: Add rice to water

Step 5: Put chicken on grill... <Frown> Propane ran out!

Step 6: Put cut veggies and chicken back in fridge

Step 7: Drive to yard supply store and have propane tank refilled.

    Step 8: Continue cooking...

At least I didn't run out of propane at 4:00 AM when I can't just go have the tank filled.

I just tried a Folger's k-cup and it was delicious. I was surprised for some reason.
